Reckless abandon

Jeongyeon's POV

As Momo was driving the van, I used my power to summon healing herbs that can heal the members' injuries.

"It's gonna sting a bit but it'll help." I said as I was rubbing herbs on Sana's arm. She made a sharp inhale from her mouth due to the stinging on her arm.

"Here" I said to Jihyo, as I rubbed the herb on her arm. She winced in pain, but she has to endure it.

"You were being to reckless out there. What good are you if you're gonna put us into danger and risk your life?" I sternly said to Jihyo. An awkward silence filled the van as Jiyho's face filled with frustration and rage.

"What else could I have done?" Jihyo brought her face down.

"You could have talked to us. You may be the leader, but we're still a team." I said to her, the others then either tried to stop me from going on any further or comforted Jihyo.

"Jeongyeon, stop, we completed the heist, and didn't lose anyone, that's victory enough. Jihyo did all that she could for us, so it shouldn't be right to fault her any further." Nayeon, who just woke up said to me.

I know she just wants to prove herself as a capable member of the team because she feels like she can't use her power as much as the others, but she is an important member of the team. She's our brain, our rock to lean on, and the person we look up to in times of trouble. That's why she can't put herself in harms way like that.

The ride home felt like forever, all of us just staring at the floor. Even though it was a successful heist, this just reminded us that the trust we have for each other can waver at times. We have to talk about this when we get home.

TWICE dorm: 10:00 PM

Jihyo's POV

After reaching home we all went to our respective rooms. The aftermath of that mission really put us all in a bad mood, and there's tension between me and Jeongyeon.

This is stupid, I know what I did was reckless, I was just being too proud to accept it, how can I ever be a good leader if I let my emotions get the better of me all the time.

I started feeling hungry, with all that's happened, only now did I realise that we all never had dinner, so I went out and prepared what I left behind earlier.

As I went out, I saw Jeongyeon on the couch, fiddling with her laptop.

"Hey" I said to her shyly.

"Hey" She stopped looking at her laptop and looked at me.

"Look, I'm sorry I got reckless tonight. I just... I want to prove I'm useful to the team." I try to explain my worries to my unnie and teammate.

"What are you talking about, you're our leader. Sure, your power may not be as flexible as ours, but what the hell do you think we'd do without you?" Jeongyeon raised my head and smiled.

We hugged it out and called the others, happiness returned to the TWICE dorm and we all ate and talked about our feelings together.

Whilst we were cleaning up the table the phone rang, this time, Jeongyeon picked it up.

"Hello?" Jeongyeon answered

"Hello everyone, I received the data you got from the facility. It looks like coordinates that lead to the intel I'm looking for." JYP said.

"Its hidden away in a mainframe at Seoul University. Girls rest up, you'll head out 3 days from now, on the 29th." JYP instructed us.

"Yes sir!" We all answered.

Hopefully this goes off without a hitch.

Things are building up, TWICE are heading out on the 29th! This chapter was supposed to be longer, like 1100 words, but it was revised for the story to make more sense. I won't update as often now because I'll be starting my new job, but I will update when I can every week.
