We all gathered around the office to see what IU found this morning.
"All right, I'm playing the video now." IU said, putting in a weird key-shaped USB.
The video loaded and after a while, a man appeared on the screen!
"IU.... if you're seeing this, I'm already gone." I looked at IU, who was biting her thumb.
"What I'm about to say is of the utmost confidentiality, I trust you'll keep this information safe." The man continued.
"A few years ago, there was a breach in information in the criminal underworld known as the "Rapture". All info on secret projects and plans were destroyed, believed to be lost forever. All groups went on an all wide search to find the one responsible which they named, "Pandora". Well, you're looking at him."
"PANDORA?!" Me and Jeongyeon both screamed out!
"What, you know them?" Jin-hyung asked.
"Not personally, but I've heard stories. Pandora was an elite hacker. They could shut down security systems, create global cyber attacks and gather information from anywhere, and no one can ever track them down. Sure regular hackers can also do that, but what made Pandora legendary was because they did it exclusively in the criminal underworld. That takes some major balls." Jeongyeon explained.
"So that's why most groups are after info nowadays, to recover what was lost in the aftermath of this "Rapture"." JB said.
"It may only be a matter of time before someone finds out, but before that, I want to relay important information to you. The Rapture didn't delete ALL the info on the secret plans and projects of the underworld, it made copies for myself before deleting everything else."
?!
"I've hidden them away in a secret vault in this university, it's guarded by a door made of vibranium AND anti-magic metal, so you can't force your way in."
"...T-then how do we get in?" Chaeyoung asked.
"The only way to get in is through a specific command in the door, the key-shaped USB that you found contains a fraction of the command, but there are three more that hold the command."
"Okay! So all we have to do is find the other three keys!" Taehyung said.
"Easier said than done, we have no idea where the other keys are." Sana rebuked.
"Also, as a reward for finding this key, I'll give you a bit of info that you can call, an incentive, to find the next key."
Suddenly a text file popped up in the desktop.
"I'm afraid my hacking days have finally caught up to me, that's why I'm giving you a choice, IU."
We all looked at her and she was looking back at the man with a worried look.
"Leave it alone or push forward?"
The man made a soft smile.
"I know you IU, ever since you were a kid you never gave up in solving my puzzles until you figured them out. That's why I chose you to be my successor, because of your thirst for knowledge. Nothing's stopping you from backing out, just know that I trust you."
Suddenly we heard a loud bang on the door in the video.
"Well, my time is up, goodbye my darling IU."
"UNCLE!"
The video cut off.
We all looked at IU, who was covering her face with her hands.
"You guys should get to class, I'll take my time reading through the info."
"Have you made up your mind?" I asked her.
"............" She didn't answer me and pulled out a cigarette from her drawer.
"OMG! Yoongi was right! She is smokin!" Momo said in a surprised manner while Yoongi just facepalmed.
"He's right, I won't stop until a mystery has been solved. Plus I'm a mercenary, I'll keep my end of the deal to you guys."
"Thanks Principal IU." Jihyo said.
"Don't mention it. Now, go on to your classes."
We all went out of the office and walked towards our classes.
"Wow, I didn't know her uncle was a hacker!" Hoseok-hyung said.
"I can't believe we'll finally get some info about the secret of this university, I can't wait to know what it is!" Momo said.
Whatever this info is, I can't help but get a feeling something weird is going on behind the scenes...
IU's POV
"Did you really mean what you said, are you sure you're up to this?" JB asked.
"Not 100%... but I promised them, I won't back down now." I said to him while smoking my cigarette.
"You're a tough girl you know that?" JB took my cigarette and put it out.
"A-all right, I need some time to scan through the file my uncle gave me, so get lost." I said while covering my face.
"Hihi, alright IU. See ya." JB said as he left the room.

A/N Wow, this chapter took forever. Sorry if my updates are a bit slow, we still don't have internet, which really sucks. Also still suffering from writer's block because work is draining me creatively. I'll definitely make quicker updates once we have internet again so stay tuned!
