Warning:
This chapter has quite a lot of violence. So be prepared for that.

It felt like sitting in a room with a TV and couch, nothing else. It might as well be sitting in a room with a TV and couch. It was a small spot where you look out onto the world surrounding you. Something so powerful hiding behind the something so brave.

Two figures, one with a frown, the other, a fake smile, sat on the couch. "We should help them." Castiel said watching the seemingly screen. "They're alright." A quick, fake, response came. Cas just looked at his brother with a frown, "Gabriel, we should be there."

"You can go, I know no one would want me to be near them." Gabriel said a careless smile on his face. "Well, maybe if you actually help them they would appreciate your presence more." Castiel said in all seriousness. Gabriel just smiled and rolled his eyes. "I would but I'm very busy."

"Yeah, busy sleeping around." Castiel grumbled. "Awe, sweet Cassie, I wish things were that simple." Gabriel responded his smile not fading and his eyes had no sign of emotions. "Whatever." Castiel said rolling his eyes and looking back at the make believe screen. "You can help them if you want; I'm not going anywhere." Gabe said watching his brother. With a swooping noise Gabriel was now left alone.

The constant pain pulled him out of the room and back to reality. All the pain slowly set back in, and he looked at his hands covered in dried blood. The cruel voice send him back to the broken routine that he learned to live by. He banged on the door. When the archangel jumped back, a evil smile was placed on him. As if, the constant fear was just a reminder that he was in charge of someone so powerful. The thing is, he isn't. He is merely in charge of a broken shell.

"Gabriel, I'm back." Castiel's voice echoed in his head.

Gabriel didn't retreat. Watching the monster in front of him. Something was thrown at him; he wasn't sure if it was a rock, piece of metal, a broken bone shard, glass shards, eyeball, arrow, chunk of some creature's flesh, or nothing at all. He learned that he didn't want to find out what it was. It was better not knowing then to look and find something terrible.

He watched as he left. Once, he knew he was safe and out of danger, he joined his brother.

"Hey, Cassie, sorry about the delay. I was busy with something." He said with the numb look in his eyes and smile across his face. Castiel rolled his eyes not trying to make a response. "You said you would stay here." Cas grumbled after a while. "Yeah, well, something happened." Gabriel said almost defensively. "Did you see a hot girl again?"

"Ew, no."

"A hot guy?"

"I wish. It was actually this older guy with terrible fashion taste and he probably threw an old eyeball or chunk of bone at me." Gabe said as if it was the most simple and common thing. "How do you know what those feel like?" Castiel asked concern tied into his voice and written on his face. Gabriel shrugged and responded, "when it happens so much you just recognize what some things feel like being thrown at you." The way he says it could crush someone. Saying that he gets body parts thrown at him on a daily basis was one of the most messed up things that came out of the angel's mouth. Which is saying a lot.

"Are you sure it was a piece of bone or eye?" Cas asked after a while. "That's what it felt like, and with the way he looked at me it couldn't have been a rock." The way the words numbly came out, matching with the look on his face, was another one of the most painful things about the conversation.

Right before Cas could ask another question, Gabriel swiftly cut him off, "Cassie, I come here so I can avoid the problems not talk about them with my therapist." He snapped. "Oh, sorry."

"It's fine," he sighed. "How did your rescue mission go?" Gabriel asked changing the subject. "Alright." The awkwardness was almost suffocating. "I should check on them." Castiel said after a while. Gabriel nodded showing that he heard, yet he made no effort to look up at his brother before he left.

They only visited each other every once and a while. The broken routine was continued until a call was made.

The hands that have multiple uses were trailing up his body; he made no effort to move. A small whimper was made and it seemed to vanish into the air. "Sh, sh, sh, sh, sh, now if you stay quiet you will get a treat." Was whispered into his ear. The treat was not getting sliced open. A knock interrupted the action that was about to be made. "Not now." Asmodeus yelled trying to continue the activity. "Sir, I think you should see this." Someone called back.

"Hey, I'm sure you're busy right now but, Gabriel, I could really use some help." Cas said.

"I'll see it later." Asmodeus yelled with a frustrated sigh. "But it's about your pet. The one you're probably playing with right now." Whoever it was on the other side said. Asmodeus sighed again getting up from his spot on top of the archangel. Walking out the door and locking it behind him.

Gabriel took a shaky breath, spreading his six golden wings, taking a moment to make sure that he doesn't look like he's been beaten and abused for a few years.

"Cassie I'm coming were are you?" Gabriel asked taking a moment to leave the hell hole.

Castiel answered and Gabriel was heading to the location that his brother gave him. It was surprisingly simple.

"What happened?" He asked looking at the two passed out bodies next to his brother. "I'm not sure." Cas answered. "Well, maybe we can try to heal them." Gabe said not confident in his answer. "Maybe." Was the only response he got. He knelt down and tried his best to heal the two humans the most he can. He had very little power due to a lot of things, and it caused him pain to use what little he had lift. Castiel seemed to notice the pain he was in because he gently touched Gabriel's shoulder. "You can stop. I'm sure they'll alright now." Cas said softly. Gabriel nodded and leaned back not even caring about the giant wings that were dragged awkwardly on the ground. "Gabriel are you alright?" Cas asked worriedly. He nodded gently but fell over and watched everything fade.

"Gabriel, get up." Castiel whispered shaking his shoulder. "Why?" He asked tiredly. "There's someone outside. We should leave." Cas whispered staring at the door of the small shack that they were in. Gabriel looked over at the two passed out bodies that seemed to be more alive than when he first came. "How long was I out?" Gabriel asked. "An hour." He nodded, showing that he heard and looked at the door.

"Here kitty." A voice from outside called. Gabriel's wings puffed up like a scared cat and he was fully awake. "Castiel, stay here." The fact that he said his brother's full name was a sign of how serious the situation has just become. "Why, we should leave."

"They're here for me, not you. I want you to stay in here and not come out until everything is silent." Gabriel said quickly and went out the door.
