Castiel did stay in the shed like how Gabriel told him. He watched the door and listened to his surroundings. There was a sound, like a lot of heavy things were getting dropped. Then a loud thud, then speaking but he couldn't make out any words, then a scream of pain.

Castiel was ready to jump up and help Gabriel but was interrupted. "Cas, what's going on?" He turned around and saw a very confused Dean Winchester. He was about to answer but another scream cut him off. Worry was written on Dean's, "Cas?"

"Everything is alright." Castiel said not believing his answer. "That's not what it sounds like to me." He said getting up. "Dean, don't go out yet." Cas said and Dean turned to face him. "Why?"

"I was told to stay until everything is silent."

"And why are you listening to whoever told you that?"

"Because he's probably out there getting killed."

"Then we should help him."

"Then we should wait and not create more problems."

They went back and forth until Sam woke up. "What are you arguing about?" Sam sighed. "Somebody is probably in danger and Cas doesn't want me to check."

"Dean, we don't know what's on the other side we can't go in blind." Cas said with a sigh. Dean seemed to give up, sitting down.

Another scream was heard and Sam looked at the two with wide eyes. Castiel sighed, "that was the fifth time." There was one other scream but this time there was a sound of wind, almost fire. Then, everything was silent. The three waited for a bit and when it was for sure over they got out.

The Winchesters looked at the bodies surrounding the shack. Castiel ran straight past them to a body that wasn't dead. He felt completely helpless looking at the six, large, golden wings soaked in blood from the stabs wounds, one on each. Cas hugged onto the injured angel; wrapping his black wings around him.

Dean went up to see if he could be of any help, but Castiel tensed in a protective manner. "Hey, Cas, it's alright. How 'bout we head back to the bunker and fix up your friend." Castiel nodded, scooping up the injured angel, and carefully fallowed after Dean. Sam fallowed behind Castiel offering to help but Cas rejects each time.

On the car ride back Dean drove, Sam sat up front staring into the mirror at Cas, who was in the back trying to take care of Gabriel. For the next couple of days, the archangel haven't woken. The group would trade off, who was watching him. Castiel would watch him in the morning, Dean in the evening, and Sam at night (mainly because the archangel was in his room.)

Sometimes at nights that Sam starts to doze off, Cas would come in to check on him. Not Gabriel, but Sam. He was aware that the angel does the same with Dean; leaving the Winchesters to wonder what exactly did they sign up for.
