A few days passed and Harry was progressively getting better.

Today was the day that Harry finally got to leave the hospital. Everyone was pleased by this news, but nowhere near as pleased as Harry was. He didn’t know how much longer he could stand being in a hospital bed.

In the waiting room Anne called all the boys together.

”I have some news. I will be taking Harry home with me for a while. I think it would be best if he just got away from everything for a bit. He needs time to be alone without the media frenzy here in London. It won’t be for too long, it’s just what’s best for him now.”

The boys nodded. They were going to miss him greatly but they knew it would only make him better in the long run.

Louis tried his best not to show his devastation. He hated coming home to an empty apartment. He just hated being alone period. He really wanted to spend time with Harry so they could rebuild their relationship.

”Have you told Harry this?” Niall asked curiously.

”Yes, and at first he was hesitant but he realizes it is what he needs. His first concern was how much he would miss all you boys.”

The rest of the group smiled at these words.

”Louis if you could help me, I just need to get some of Harry’s things from the apartment.”

”Yeah that’s no problem at all.” Louis said forcing as much of a smile as he possibly could.

A while later Louis and Anne returned from the apartment.

Anne immediately went to go speak to a doctor.

”Louis, you okay man?” Zayn questioned.

”Yeah. Just fine. “

Zayn knew he was lying but didn’t want to push the matter any further.

The boys all made small talk until they saw Anne and Harry walking into the waiting room.

”I am just going to sign you out and get your medication, I’ll be right back.”

The boys all jumped up and pulled their friend into a hug.

”I’m going to miss you guys soo much.” Harry said into the group hug.

”It won’t be for long Hazza.” Liam comforted.

Anne returned, “your stuff is already in the car Harry.”

Harry nodded. “Well I guess it’s time to go then…”

Harry gave each boy a hug separately. He got to Louis last, and Louis pulled him into a tight squeeze.

”Try to keep the apartment in one piece Boobear,” Harry joked, trying to

hide the sadness in his voice.

”I can’t make any promises on that. But I promise I will be waiting Curly; waiting for you to get back.”

”I’ll miss you Lou.”

Harry then pulled away and smiled at his band mates.

They all made their way out of the hospital, but soon had to part when they got to the parking lot. “Bye guys love you!” Harry shouted as he walked away.

”Love you too!” They chorused back.”

Louis sighed. What was he going to do with himself now?

Harry had been at home for a week now. He had spent most of his days either with old friends or just spending time with his mom and step dad.

On his seventh day his step dad was out for the day and overnight for a business meeting out of town.  Harry decided to just relax at home with his mom.

They had just eaten dinner and it had begun to heavily rain outside. They were cleaning the kitchen together in a comfortable silence.

Suddenly Anne spoke. “Harry I think we need to talk.”

”About what…?” Harry acted like he had no idea what she could possibly be referring to.

”I think you knew I would have to ask sooner or later, I just want to know why Harry. What was or is so wrong in your life that it caused you to hurt yourself? I just want to understand.”

Harry heard the desperation in her voice.

He didn’t even know how to begin to explain.

”Did someone say something, were you upset? Is the fame too much for you? If that’s the case you don’t have to do it anymore. All you have to do is tell me, I will do anything to fix the problem”

”No it’s not that.” Harry reassured.

“Then what?”

I felt unneeded.”

”By who sweetie, who made you feel like this?

Harry paused and took a breath, “Louis.”

Anne was surprised. Harry and Louis were practically attached at the hip. They seemed to be everything to each other.

”How did he make you feel like this?”

”He was just spending so much time with Eleanor and he wasn’t telling me anything, I felt like he didn’t need me anymore.”

”Harry of course he needs you! He was completely distraught at the hospital. I was genuinely worried about him.”

”Really? “

”Of course; but why did it concern you so much that he was spending his time with Eleanor?”

”I don’t know… I guess I was jealous.”

”But why Harry?”

Harry sensed it, his mom already knew. She was just trying to get him to say it. She wanted him to admit it to her and to himself.

”It’s because…” Harry closed his eyes. “Because I love him. More than he loves me. More than as just a friend. And I guess just knowing that he will never love me like that was too much for me.” A tear rolled down his cheek.

”Oh Harry,” Anne exclaimed.  She pulled him into a tight hug. He began to cry into her shoulder, “I don’t want to lose him as a friend he choked out.”

”Oh Harry you don’t ever have to worry about that he is your best friend he will love you no matter what. But you are going to have to tell him how you feel eventually. You can’t let your feelings destroy you Harry.”

Harry stayed silent.

Anne could tell he didn’t want to talk about it anymore. She began to speak again, “well it’s getting late, I am going to bath and go to bed.”

”Okay, I am just going to stay down here and watch a film or something.”

”Okay but don’t stay up too late.”

Harry rolled his eyes. “Night mom.”

”Goodnight Harry. I love you.”

”Love you too.”

Harry had begun watching “Titanic”. He was getting tired and realized he would probably fall asleep soon.

He still had twenty minutes left of the movie but he had seen it a million times.

I think my bed needs me. Harry thought to himself. Sorry couch, I’ll be back for you later.

He got up and tiredly lifted himself up the stairs.

He was halfway up when he was stopped by a knock at the door.
