Better Than You (a poem)

There will always be someone better than you
No matter what it is you do

Whether it's singing, drawing, or learning to dance.
Or simply just being able to fit into pants.

Others have more experience, more talent per se
That's something we have to accept, I'm afraid.

However, that doesn't mean you should give in
Keep fighting until you reach your goal and win!

I know it's hard to keep moving on
But the benefits from it will be above and beyond

So yeah, people will always be better than you
But that shouldn't stop you from doing what you do

There's only one you on this planet, you're unique
So keep on keeping on and show off your expertise

(If I'm being completely honest, over the past couple of days I've been feeling... less then, ya know? Like I'm not good enough, I'm too fat, I'm too ugly, I suck at singing, drawing, etc... just having all these negative thoughts... I know I'm not the only one with these thoughts, so I decided, in true Doki Doki style, to write a poem about it. True, there are people in the world better than you. Some of them have natural talent, others have had professional training. Just because you aren't the best doesn't mean you should stop doing what you love! You're still amazing and you're still amazing at what you do! As for appearances, you're beautiful. I don't even need to see you to know that you are. It doesn't like it at times, or most of the time for some people, but you truly are! I love y'all and I hope this poem helped at least a little bit <3 )
