Chapter 8

*2 months later*

It was Valentine's day morning Frankie was still sleeping in Bucky's room in his t shirt when Bucky snuck out of bed and left to get surprises for Frankie before she woke up. Bucky got her favorite roses red and white and then went by Victoria Secret cause Nat told him they do Valentine's day gift bundles. He also had other plans for later Frankie may not be his girlfriend but he wasn't about to let her feel like crap on Valentine's day. He got back and laid it all out on her  bed and climbed back in bed with her. "Where did you go?' She whispered as she slowly woke up and he said "I had to do something for Nat." 

"Oh." she said as she rolled over and looked up at him.

"Morning beautiful.." he said 

"Morning." she said as she stretched and moaned. 

"We have plans tonight by the way." he said

"We do? Why?' she said 

"Oh don't act like you don't know what today is. Happy Valentine's day." he said 

"Um Bucky.. it's not just Valentine's day." she said as her phone started to buzz and she answered and put it on speakerphone as her parents sang Happy Birthday to her. She smiled so big when she seen Bucky's face and he said 'You didn't tell me that today was also your birthday." after she got off the phone.

"Yeah." she said 

"You are older than me by a month." he said 

She giggled and said "So what are your plans for me and you?'

"Well I was going to take you out for dinner but clearly I need to do more than that." he said as he got his phone and texted Nat and told her that it was Frankie's birthday. She went to get up and he said "Wait I actually do have a surprise for you it's in your room on your bed." 

She looked at him and said "Ok." 

She walked through their bathroom and saw her roses and her candy and the gift basket from Victoria Secret and she said "Bucky.. you didn't have to do all this." 

"I know but before I knew it was your birthday I didn't want you to have a crappy Valentine's day because you are single. Now that I know it's your birthday too I really want today to be good for you." he said as he kissed her cheek. 

She turned around and hugged him and said "You are the best best bestest friend in the whole world Bucky Barnes." 

He laughed and said "You are pretty good too." 

They went downstairs after she pulled on some shorts and ate breakfast and drank some coffee. After breakfast she went upstairs and put her work out clothes on and grabbed her phone and headphones and said "I um I'm headed to the gym" 

"Ok..I'll be down there in a minute" he said

"Ok." she said as she grabbed her keys and left. 

She left and went to the gym. Bucky went into the kitchen and said "I cancelled my reservation for the dinner I had originally planned. We need to make a big dinner and have cake for her." 

"I agree." Nat said 

Nat and Steve went grocery shopping and Bucky left to go to the gym they worked out for a good hour and then went back to the house. She took a long hot shower then put on a pair of sweats and a t shirt and laid down. Bucky came in after his shower and said "You ok?'

"Yeah.." she said 

He laid down beside her and made her roll to face to him and said "You didn't want to celebrate your birthday."
