Chapter 10

*4 months later*

It was snowing in Savannah GA at Christmas time and Bucky was taking Frankie for a walk although she had no idea why Bucky suddenly wanted to go for a walk in the dark in the snow but she went along with him. She had a beanie and boots and a dress coat on and her gloves. They went walking a long his farm land and then he said "Stop right here." 

"ok." she said 

"Francesca Monroe from the moment I laid eyes on you I knew that you were going to be something special in my life you are an angel that has saved me you are a miracle worker. You have made me see that that it's ok to believe in love again and made me see to never judge a book by it's cover. You and I were meant to find each other I just know it baby I was meant to find you. You meant to be my room mate cause I believe that God knew I needed someone like you in my life to guide me to make me see that I was messing up you in some ways have been like my dad he was always on my case when I messed up. I know we have been dating only 4 months but we have known each other longer than that and I can't be without you I can't let you go Frankie. Will you please marry me?'" he said as he dropped to one knee and opened her ring box all while the snow continued to fall around them. 

She put her hands over her mouth when she saw her ring and said "yes." as she took off her glove and he said "How does this work baby." and she took off her other glove and moved her purity ring to her other hand and he slipped her engagement ring on her finger. She kissed him and they fell in the snow as he was still down on one knee. "I was wondering why you suddenly wanted to go for a walk in the dark in the snow." she said 

He started laughing and said "Cause I wanted to try and be romantic for you." as he kissed her. They walked back to his house and he said "Mama she said yes!" as he hugged Winnie. 

"OH congratulations baby" Winnie said as she hugged Frankie and said "My baby did good didn't he Frankie"

"yes he did I love it and it's so sparkly." she said 

She called her dad and he said "Oh thank goodness I've been waiting for this phone call all day." She heard her mom in the background said "Yay we are planning Frankie's wedding." to her little sisters. She smiled and said "Mom slow down I haven't even picked a date or know when I want to get married." 

"OH I can't wait till you do." Her mom said 

That night they decided that next summer they would get married on his on his family's farm. They chose July 1st as their wedding date as it was the day that Frankie realized that she was in love with Bucky. That night they were in the basement and dancing to "God Your Mama and Me" by Florida Georgia Line and cause that was what she made Bucky's ringtone and said that she wanted to be their first dance when they get married.

Spring Break 

They spent Spring Break in Brunswick helping Frankie's mom Edith plan their wedding and they didn't mind that they were missing the annual Florida trip with their friends they were having fun with her family. Frankie showed Bucky around her hometown for the first time and took her by her old high school and he saw the alumni trophy case and he said "Oh my god." 

"What what is it Buck?' she said very confused and he said "you.." 

"What about me?' she said still very confused. 

"This trophy this competition I remember going with the football team to watch our girls perform. I remember you cause you made your team look amazing you were always front and center. I remember when they put you up on the big screen thinking god that girl is so beautiful and wished I could of talked to you. I didn't know it was you until just know I didn't put the two together when you said Brunswick cause I remember seeing you after the comp when we went back to congratulate the girls on getting runner up and seeing you with who I'm assuming was Rhett." he said 

Her mouth dropped open and said "Oh my god.." 

"You were there." she said 

"Yeah.. You were incredible Frankie." he said 

She smiled and said "Yeah and you were right it was Rhett. I remember that night cause I got mad at him that night cause he was flirting with another cheerleader that night" 

He started laughing and said "Who?'

Her eyes went wide and said "Wanda.." 

Bucky stopped and said "Are you joking?"

"No I'm not joking." she said and then said "I remember cause she had really long red hair and your school cheer uniform" 

"Whoa" he said as they left her old school. 

That night Bucky texted Nat and told her what Frankie said and Nat put the phone on speakerphone and hid it and said "So Wanda can I ask a question you remember that high school comp we went to senior year." 

"Yeah what about it?' Wanda said 

"Did you hook up with anybody that night?' Nat said 

"Oh yea you remember that guy that had been flirting with me while his girlfriend was on the floor he came to my room after she went to sleep and we had sex all night long god it was the best sex ever." Wanda said 

Frankie's mouth dropped open and whispered "Oh my god..he left me alone to go sleep with Wanda". 

"It's ok baby he's an asshole and a cheater." he whispered

"Wanda that was Frankie's ex boyfriend. He cheated on her with you that night." Nat said

"What?'she said 

"Wanda..Frankie remembers you two flirting she told me.. and now she knows that he did more than flirt with you." she said as she pulled her phone from behind her and said "Say Hi Frankie and Bucky"

"Hey" they both said

"Frankie I am so sorry.." Wanda said

"It's fine it's in the past." Frankie said 

That night Bucky and Frankie drove to Savannah to spend their last weekend in Savannah with his mom. They got to his house since they drove down together in Bucky's truck and they got in his room and she said "Bucky." 

"Mmm" he said as they were playing xbox and she said "Do you think that my dad would know the difference" 

"The difference in what" he said 

"Being a virgin." she said 

He put his controller down and said "Baby look at me.. we can wait 4 more months ok you have done really well at controlling when we get to hot and heavy during our make out sessions." 

She bit her lip and said "Ok." 

She got up and walked over and got in his bed and he could tell she was hurt by what he said. He turned off his game and climbed in bed with her and said "Baby don't be mad at me." 

She didn't say nothing and he pulled her closer to him and rolled her over and he said "Baby don't cry you still have this ring you still have to keep this promise." 

"But I love you Bucky and we are getting married." she said 

"I love you too baby and I know we are getting married but listen to me baby condoms break and if that happens you could get pregnant and then your daddy will know you broke your promise. Besides we agreed that babies were to come later that you are going to get on birth control before we got married." he said 

She bit her lip and looked down and said "ok.' Bucky leaned down and kissed her and said "I love you baby we just have to wait 4 more months. I know this is because you were hurt that Rhett has cheated on you more than once." 

"I love you too." she said as she kissed him and they went to sleep.
