St. Cross's POV:
My eyes fluttered open slowly. It's been awhile since I could have control over my body like this... I'm free now.... Free from what that vampire done to me. My throat was dry and ached... That's right... I'm a vampire now. I felt my fingers already touching my sore throat and rubbing to sooth the pain. I'm hungry and I'll have to eat to survive. I exposed my fangs instinctively and got to my feet quickly. I found my eyes landing on a squirrel watching me before I suddenly crawled after it as it ran from me. I snatched it just before it reached a tree and bit down into it viciously. It's just an animal. I started to drink it's blood- finishing it off quickly and moaned from the flavor of it. Satisfying~ I threw it quickly in disgust and whipped it's blood off of my hand and onto the grass. I stood up and eyed over my surroundings before things suddenly tilted as I fell back over. My whole body began to burn like I was on fire inside me. I let out a scream and thrashed around. What is this!? What's happening to me! Why! I'm so confused! "No!" I yelled out and scratched at my body.
"You didn't seriously eat that squirrel, did you?" I heard a girl purr out nearby. "Poor wretch." I looked towards her and frowned- sending her a glare.
"My pain is not amusing," I told her.
"It is to me~ It makes my job soooo much easier," she sung out then pulled out a beaded rosary from in her black dress and held it out towards me as she got out a silver knife and started for me. "I'll put you out of your misery, demon." What the hell!? I got to my feet quickly and rubbed at my neck.
"You're not going to kill me so easily!" I yelled at her and took off running. I saw her appear in front of me before she kicked my legs out from underneath me, bending down enough for me to fall on her back before I felt her hand grab my wrist and she used her momentum of getting back up to throw me to the ground, flipping me onto my back. She hovered over me before her green eyes landed on my chest and she bent down quickly, going to stab me where my heart was without hesitation. I frowned and rolled out of her aim quickly before I grabbed her foot and yanked her down.
"Stop trying to kill me," I hissed at her and got to my feet. "I'm not like the monsters that lived here." I eyed over the castle then and frowned. I wonder if there is anything still alive in there. She hissed at me then and exposed her fangs.
"You're still a monster," she growled out. "You're one of those devils! I can smell it all over you!" She glared at me then before I suddenly felt her knife against the back of my ankle, slitting my flesh before my knees gave out under me and I fell over as I lost the ability to stand. "You're evil."
"No I'm not," I hissed at her and eyed over her rosary. Where did mine go? I frowned and eyed over the ground around me. "I'm a priest," I grumbled.
"Prove it," she scoffed and looked me over before she rubbed her rosary absentmindedly.
"I will when I find my rosary," I told her and eyed over my surroundings. Damn- where'd it go?
"Your rosary? You mean this?" She asked and pulled out a bloody one from in her pockets on her dress. "I found this lying around." I eyed over my rosary in her hand and grabbed it quickly before I put it around my neck and gripped it. That's right- that man threw it away- the prince that lived in the castle. He told me I wouldn't be needing it anymore- but that's not true. I eyed her over before I felt a hunger growing as my eyes landed on her throat. I exposed my fangs quickly and tackled her before I bit down into her. She yelped and started to tremble as she gripped my shirt quickly and dropped her knife. "P-please," she begged me as her knuckles turned white from her tight grip. I moaned as the taste of her blood soothed my thirst. "Quit it," she hissed and pushed on my chest. "I won't let you kill me!" I pinned her down quickly and held her under me. There's no way I'm going to let her go until I get all I need. She groaned as I felt her leg slip between mine, quickly starting to come up to stun me. I frowned and moved between her legs quickly and bit down harder into her. She gasped and quickly fell limp under me as she buried her face into my shoulder. "Please don't kill me," she begged softly as her voice shook. I pulled my fangs out from in her as my thirst died. I pulled away from her entirely and licked my lips before I smiled.
