Hachi's POV:

I felt the weight shift in my lap as I ate, the egg tilting as I felt the creature moving. I widened my eyes and looked down at the egg before I gasped. "Uh-oh," I said quickly and tensed up before I looked at my plate then back at the egg. "No, stop it! I'm eating. Not now." It moved again at the sound of my voice then started to fall towards my stomach as I heard a claw against the side of the egg. I yelped and grabbed the egg before I placed it on the table.

"Off," Oz said sternly. I frowned and picked it back up as I looked at him. "No, don't look at me like that. Be polite. You're a guest, don't ruin the table." I frowned at him before I cradled the egg to my chest. I felt it settle down against my chest inside the egg, calming down as I held it. Raven giggled and swallowed the last bite of her steak as she looked at Ellie in excitement. Ellie gave her a sweet look as she finished her steak.

"Raven~ Let's go play a game. Like chess," Ellie suggested. I rubbed the egg and went back to eating.

"Mkay~" Raven said and snatched Ellie's hand, disappearing. The egg stirred again, throwing it's weight around like it was circling. I frowned and watched the egg then.

"Stop," I whispered. I heard a purr rise up inside the egg suddenly as the weight was thrown back against my chest. "Uh-oh," I whispered. I whined then. Wait no! I don't want it! I sat it down in the floor and took off out of the room.

"Get back here," Oz yelled at me. "You got that from dragons. Cherish it." I whined in the doorway then.

"N-no, it'll eat me!" I whined out and watched the egg.

"It's smaller than you," he chuckled out. I heard the egg settle down as I ditched it, the egg falling still. I watched the egg before I walked back to it and picked it up slowly and held it out to Oz.

"I want to return it," I told him.

"What? It's about to hatch," he told me and frowned. I heard it purr inside the egg, but it stayed still this time. "You're keeping it," he told me firmly. I frowned as I eyed the room over before I started for the fireplace with it and sat down in front of it and held it out to the fire to get it warm. "Don't throw it in," he warned me. "I don't want to explain to Mayloi about what happened to his kid." I felt the little guy shift around in the egg as it got quiet quickly then moved away from me and towards the fire like it was curious. I eyed over the egg... What would happen if I forced it open? I eyed over the egg and tilted my head. Is it ready? I'll break it open like a chicken egg. I eyed over the floor before I held it over my head and went to crack it on the floor. I felt a hand stop me quickly- Oz's hand. "That's it, I'll take it away from you if you don't act straight." He took the egg and placed it into my lap quickly. "Mother hen it." I heard it's claws against the egg before it relaxed. It suddenly moved after a few minutes and I heard a small cackle inside the egg. I yelped and got up quickly.

"N-no," I whined out and held it back to Oz. He smirked and dodged it.

"Keep it," he told me firmly. "No backing out now." I heard a purr before a claw stuck out of the egg then there was a little snout trying to come out of the hole with a squeal. It sneezed and ducked back into the egg, shifting around inside. I widened my eyes and whined again as I placed it on the ground and watched the egg. It whined as it felt the cold ground under the egg before it started to poke it's head back out, a cute little black head managing to get out. Gold eyes looked around the room before it whined and then went to go back inside but cried out as it got stuck. I frowned as I watched it before I blushed. I eyed him over then helped him out of his shell- being careful about it. Why's he so cute? This is unfair. He looked at my hand as I got him out and sniffed it before he latched onto it with his cute little gold claws then sneezed. He was a gorgeous black dragon with little gold spikes around his head and gold claws on his feet- but his wings were missing. No, he was a Chinese dragon.... I giggled a little as I watched him before I held him out to me then brought him back to my chest and placed him on my shoulder quickly. He looked around curiously then sniffed my shirt cautiously and began to purr as he nuzzled his head against my neck. He laid down slowly and took in a deep breath, closing his eyes in delight. I purred and rubbed his head before looked out at his shell before looking at him.
