shu and rina

chapter 5

from shu's point of view

i woke up and got ready for school but this time i had a stop to make first. from now on until rina gets out of the hospital i will go see her before and after school. they made a special exception for me and her since she is the reigning champion of america and i'm her boyfriend they are letting me in early to see her. when i got to her room she was still asleep i left her one of my red gloves and gave her a kiss on her forehead then went to school. i told the nurses that i would be back later and they smiled 

i was distracted in classes today all i could think about was rina in the hospital and i couldn't wait until class ends to go see her but i made it. valt asked me where i was going and i told him to go see rina and he was very understanding. i checked in and went to her room and when i got there she was gone but i know she will be back soon i know she went down to the lounge at this time and would come back at any time now. on my way here i stopped and picked up a bouquet of roses for her to make her feel better. a few minutes later a nurse came back with rina and she looked at me and we hugged and kissed 

me: i missed you rina alot 

rina: me too shu it gets lonely without you here 

me: i got you these rina 

i handed her the roses i got 

rina: shu they are beautiful i love them shu lets go to the cafeteria and we can hangout there 

me: alright i'll help you there since you can't really see with that thing on your eye

rina: im gonna need it 

we laughed and then we went to the cafeteria and we both ordered the hot chocolate and sat there and talked for hours we even ate dinner together and cuddled together until visiting hours ended. tomorrow was gonna be a long day for her because they are gonna look at her eye and see if its fully healed. i called the school to let them know i wouldn't be coming to school tomorrow because of rina's look over. 

the next day i got to the hospital as soon as i could and when i got to her room the doctor was there i went over to her and held her hand while the doctor removed her bandage then the cloth covering her eye and her eye was closed and had a scar the doctor said she could have one then the doctor spoke up 

doctor: rina open your eye slowly 

she looked over to me with a bit of a scared look but i held her hand and nodded with a reassuring look on my face and she took a deep breath and opened her eye

doctor: rina look back at shu and tell me if you see him

rina: i see him doctor 

we all sighed in relief and she hugged me and cried a little when we let go i wiped the tears off her eyes then we went to the bey club after rina got all checked out of the hospital. when we got there valt's mom had a party set up and a banner that read welcome home rina 

when she got there she had tears in her eyes and fell on her knees and i bent down to her level and helped her up. she was moved to tears because she learned false stuff in america she thought that if you weren't cold hearted you would get trampled and she finally let that go of all those feelings meaning she trusted us again which made us all so happy she hugged me and cried for a bit and then she calmed down and we enjoyed the party she was so happy to be able to trust people again. 

she fell asleep at the party so i gave her a piggy back ride back to our apartment building and i opened the door and carried her to her bed an covered her with a blanket the gave her a kiss good night and then i went back to my apartment. i got an idea i could ask her to move in with me i have plenty of room for her to come and live with me because i love her with all my heart i want her to be with me always i just want her to be with me always and when im not with her i miss her. prom is coming up and im sure she noticed the signs up so i decided im gonna ask her. that night i got 2 dozen and roses and a made a sign for her on a poster board and hid it then put the roses in water and put them where i hid the poster then went to bed

the next morning i got everything ready and told rina to come up to my apartment for breakfast. i heard a knock on my door after finishing getting breakfast set on the table and went to go open the door and hugged rina and kissed then we sat down and ate breakfast after breakfast.

me: rina close your eyes and dont open them until i say so 

rina: okay shu what's going on?

me: rina just trust me close your eyes this is gonna be good

after that i went and got the roses and sign out and held them up for rina to see

me: rina you can open your eyes now 

she opened her eyes and she started crying 

rina: yes shu i will go to prom and move in with you oh my god 

me: come here and hug me

she came and we hugged for what seemed like hours and we went to the bus stop and we just hugged for the whole bus ride. she seemed like she was more emotional today than ever. she was alone at lunch she's back to like how she was before she left sitting alone at lunch and not eating at lunch today she was just staring off and her face was covered in punch marks i was in shock and went over to her 

me: rina what happened to you? who did this to you

she just got up and walked away i grabbed her wrist but she free'd her hand from my grip and continued to walk away. when i found her i put my hand on her shoulder

me: rina we need to talk 

she looked back at me with tears in her eyes and just hugged me tightly and i hugged her back for what seemed like hours and then we went home so she could get some clothes and spend the night with me she clearly needed some support after the day she's had

me: rina can you please tell me what happened today and why are you so much more emotional

she looked away sadly

rina: shu today is the 5 year anniversary of my parents death and thats why im so much more emotional today. the reason i look like this is because people started hitting me when they found out i don't even know how they found out i got one hit to the jaw and that knocked me down. on landing i hit my head im gonna be f-fine

she started crying so much and i just hugged her until she stopped crying

me: rina my parents are coming to visit for a couple weeks they have off from work and they really want to meet you. plus prom is next weekend i already got our tickets and my mom can help you find a dress if you want and she can help you with your hair and makeup 

rina: r-really shu they want to meet m-me? i would love to have your moms help with prom thank you so much shu when do they get here

me: yes they do i told them all about you and they are thrilled im with someone as amazing as you. they get here tomorrow if you need you can go home and get an outfit for dinner they want us to meet them at a restaurant and you can spend the night here if you want

rina: thanks shu for everything and for showing me i can trust people again

after that she went home and a few minutes later she came in with an outfit on a hanger and she set them down today was friday and that means no school until monday and shortly after we sat down on the couch with a pizza that i had ordered for both of us she fell asleep and i pulled a blanket over us and i fell asleep shortly after rina. i wasn't gonna let anyone hurt her more than she already was
