shu and rina

chapter 22

from shu's point of view 

i woke up the next morning to see rina's cot was empty and i went to go to the kitchen but she wasn't there and at that point i was getting worried so i went to go see cris

me: rina never came back last night and i'm getting worried that something bad might have happened to her may i have permission to go look for her in town cris

cris: yes shu you may i want her here im not gonna yell at her or kick her off the team i just want her back here safe that's all i want

i went out into town to try and find rina and i looked in an alley way and i saw her unconscious and beat up i ran over to her 

me: rina wake up please wake up 

i shook her tried to wake her up but it was no use so i called her an ambulance and they took her to the hospital and they took her to be looked over and a few hours later a doctor came out 

doctor: rina black's family?

me: over here how is she 

doctor: she's in a coma and we don't know when she will wake up and she is on a breathing machine she's in pretty bad shape it looks like she got beat up pretty bad are you her husband?

me: yes i am 

doctor: you can see her 

i rushed right to rina's room and i used the room phone to call cris and tell her what happened and how rina was doing and she said she would be right over. after a few minutes i saw cris and we just talked about her place on the team and she said rina would become an honorary member of the team. then we just sat in silence and talked to rina and we saw a tear roll down her face which we took to mean she could hear us and i held her hand and lowered my head and cris put her hand on my shoulder

cris: she'll wake up eventually shu we cant give up hope 

cris hugged me to make me feel better but it was no use i felt alone without her i felt like how i was while she was green eye and when she was over in america i felt like a piece of me was gone and we went back to BC sol.

cris: i want to see all bladers in the meeting room right now 

everyone showed up and i was standing next to cris when everyone sat down in their seats 

valt: what's up cris and shu where's rina shouldn't she be here

honcho: yea she never came home last night where is she shu

i gathered up all the strength i could but it wasn't enough to say what needed to be said 

stan: yea where is she cris you have to tell us if shu cant

cris: rina is in the hospital in a coma and we don't know when she will wake up and on a breathing machine 

the rest of the team was in shock 

valt: shu are you alright?

me: no valt im not. finding out almost broke my heart but she is still alive we have to battle each of our next battles for her 

 months and months went by and we trained as hard as we could then we got a call from the hospital with great and amazing news. i picked up the phone and i put it on speakers 

doctor: is this shu kurenai and cris kuroda we need to speak with you and the rest of your team its about rina we have amazing news 

valt: what is it 

doctor: she is awake and breathing on her own she is in perfect condition to come home today

my heart sunk in amazement and we just finished rebuilding the dorm and i put rina's stuff away for her while she was in the hospital and i rushed over to the hospital with the rest of the team and i went straight to her room to see her sitting up and staring out the window and then she looked at us and with tears in her eyes and i had tears in my eyes and i ran over to her and hugged her and we cried together and i kissed her

me: you're awake i was afraid i was gonna loose you

rina: how long was in that coma they just took me off the breathing machine and iv 

me: at least a year and a half to 2 years 

rina: so i missed the world league right 

me: yes and i brought your bey with me 

i handed rina her bey and she accepted it 

rina: the last thing i remember was coming home and someone beat me up and i hit my head super hard and then i finally woke up here a few minutes ago and can i leave now 

cris: yes the doctor called us and he said you're in perfect condition to leave today and we have a surprise for you back at BC sol for you 

we took rina back to BC sol and we covered her eyes until we got to the dorms and we stopped and uncovered her eyes and she was so surprised she had tears in her eyes and we took her on a tour of the dorm and we stopped in our room and we had a queen sized bed so both of us can sleep in the same bed again and i was so happy to have her back.

the next month we got off from the team and me, rina, valt, and honcho decided to go back home to japan to see our families because we missed them and to celebrate rina's birthday together i knew she was getting home sick and we all got our plane tickets and headed home for our little vacation.
