(A/N: Cried a lot while writing this, too. Someone end me. Please.

^Play song above when the lyrics show up later. This song makes me cry every time I hear it. It holds a special place in my heart. My cold...bitter, dark heart. I'm human, I swear.)

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Lance usually loved the rain. It was peaceful. Even in the midst of a thunderstorm, Lance was always calm.

Today, however, Lance couldn't find any hope or peace with the rain. He just found it cliche.

He stared at the surrounding headstones, knowing he'd be seeing them more often than he wanted to. Keith watched as Lance stood alone, his own family avoiding standing with him. It was obvious he was tuning out the words Leanna's father spoke.

"Leanna was a bright, happy girl, and we truly believe she wouldn't want us to mourn, but instead, celebrate. Leanna is home!" A few members of Leanna's extended family shouted "Amen" in response.

There was a quiet rumble of thunder which cued everyone to raise their umbrellas once more. Leanna's father turned to Keith, smiling kindly.

"Keith, you became one of Leanna's most beloved friends. Often times, you'd be at the piano singing praises together... would you mind singing for her?"

Keith smiled kindly, nodding. He looked to Pidge who pulled her guitar out of its case.

"We can do 'He Paid It All'..." Keith spoke softly, hearing quiet crying.

"Her favorite song... please do."

Pidge began strumming lightly, playing the intro of the song.

My Lord, what shall I give Him today?

He wants my heart more than He asks for my wage.

One day I'll die... but it won't be my last day,

When I look in His eyes, I know that I did okay.

My Lord, what shall I sing Him for now?

A song full of praise from a mouth full of doubt?

I lift up my face and I sing out loud

With all my mistakes I still make Him proud.

Keith glanced to the side, and Pidge took the cue, coming in with harmonies.

He paid it all for me

Carried that cross for you

On that rugged walk He knew what He had to do

Opened His arms up wide, invited the world inside

One final breath, He conquered death for me and for you

Keith heard a broken sob come out in a heartbreaking tone, and he came close to tears upon finding the source.

Lance stood alone, openly sobbing. Keith felt awful seeing as Lance's family hadn't moved a muscle to comfort him.

So Keith did.

As Pidge played the transition to the verse, Keith approached Lance and pulled him into a hug, nodding at Pidge to continue playing. As the cue for the verse approached, Keith continued to sing while Lance wailed into his shoulder, arms dangling at his sides.
