White.
White was all I saw. But then suddenly my eyes opened, and I saw more white, but I was in white to. A white dress, my hair was long and curled, even though I almost always had it in a bun, and I was barefoot. I looked around and saw nothing, until I heard a voice behind me.
"Congratulations." I whipped around to see rose, with her arms crossed, looking at me annoyingly with a raised eyebrow. "You won." I was confused at first, but then I realized.
"Am I..."
"Dead? Yeah." She said, brushing her hair out of her face. I wanted to cry, but I felt to much peace to cry. I looked at my hands and back at her. She pursed her lips. "Well, I'm gonna go." She turned around as if she was leaving through a door, but no door was there.
"Wait!" I called to her. She stopped and turned around. "What are you gonna do? I read the book. It said that you only had three tries to do this, was I your last?" She smirked and nodded.
"Yep. Don't worry about me I'll be fine." She smiled at me. She turned around and stopped herself halfway. "Hey Ava?" I looked at her as she turned to face me. "I always kinda liked you. You didn't really treat me like a freak... So... thanks, I guess." I stared at her, not making any expressions towards her. I hated her, and that was it. She almost killed a lot of people that I loved, and she killed my parents. No way I was about to sympathize with her now. She smiled, reading my thoughts. "I don't expect you to forgive me. I don't expect you to even look at me with wanting to kill me. So just..." She sighed. "Take care of yourself. You never know what the future holds." She smiled sincerely at me one last time, before walking and fading away into nothing. I don't know what to do. What do I do? I'm here but, isn't someone supposed to be here with me? Am I in heaven? If I am, are my pare-
"Look how big you've gotten..." I heard a small, and comforting voice come from behind me. I saw two figures, holding eachothers hands, looking at me lovingly. That's when the peace faded away, and I cried. Tears ran down my face as I mindlessly ran to them, wrapping my arms around them, feeling the embrace between me and the two people I longed to see the most ever.
My parents.I cried as they tightly hugged me againest them, not letting me go. All my pain was gone, all of it. My heart didn't hurt anymore, I wasn't afraid, I wasn't anything. I was happy. For the first time in a while, I was happy. Truly happy.
"Is it... is it really you?" I asked, looking up at them. My mom cupped my face in her hands and smiled while my dad held my hands.
"Yes flower it's us, it's really us." My dad said with tears in his eyes. I close my eyes and touched my mom's hand, laughing slightly in disbelief. My mom kissed my cheek as they both smiled at me, their smiles comforted me in my darkest times. "Flower, we're so sorry." My mom told me.
"It's ok-"
"No it's not." My dad said interrupting me. "We didn't mean to leave you. We love you so much and we-"
"I said it's fine. I'm here now. That's all that matters now." I said. My mom smiled warmly.
"Not for long..." She told me. I got confused.
"What? What do you mean?" I asked, looking back and forth at them. They both laughed lightly.
"Flower, our work has ways, ways that help us survive. You'll go back, it's only a matter of time." my mother said smiling. I frowned.
"What about you?" I asked. My dad smiled.
"It was too late for us. But not for you. You still have a chance." My tears came back.
"But... I don't wanna go. I wanna stay here with you guys." They both sighed, like they were disappointed that I had to leave, but they knew that I still had a chance.
"When the time comes, just remember something for us, ok?" I nodded gripping both their hands.
"Adrien." My father told me. I became confused.
"Tony is going to take great care of you." My father told me with a warm smile.
"We love you so much flower."
"We love you Avangeline." They both said in almost unison.
"I love you too." The backed up one step before fading away. Right before they had to fade, they smiled at me. A smile that I'll never forget. That's when I started thinking. Who's adrien? Is he a guy I know? An agent? I thought for a moment, but then suddenly a shocking force waved through me, forcing me to drop to my knees. I gripped my heart and gasped. I blinked, but when I did, I saw doctors and nurses surrounding me. I didn't know what was happening, but I think I was trying to come back. I started hitting my chest, as an attempt to get it beating again. Every time I closed my eyes, I would see them again and again. I had to keep going, trying to get my heart beating again was harder than people may think. That's when a feeling that I can't describe, rushed through me. It felt like being alive, like energy was re entering my body. My eyes opened wide to see people surrounding me, cheering and yelling, only for me to black out again. I don't know how long I was out, but I was so glad I was back. As much as I missed my parents, I wanted to come back, for my friends and future family.
