As Dean shuts the door I lean against the wall trying to take a few steady breathes. Leo was such an ass. I never truly feared anyone... but he changed that. He instilled a fear that was unsettling. I maybe strong but he was stronger. That realization haunted me.

"I'm sorry Emberly." Deans voice brought me back from my thoughts. I looked at him to see him leaning against the door. He watched me with a sad frustrated look. "You've walked into one hell of a mess." He shacks his head pushing off the door and walking towards me.

Without thinking I wrap my arms around him and press my face into his chest. I breath deep taking in his minty sent. He runs his fingers through my hair sending tiny shivers down my back. I feel the tension I've been holding slowly seep away.

"It's okay. To be honest it's a good wake up call." I lean back trying to see his face only to notice our faces are inches apart.

I see that he's noticed to and is watching my lips. I subconsciously bite my bottom lip only to regret it. Heat creeps across my face as I try and move away. Though my body ignores me. I can feel his breath on my lips. The warmth sends shivers down my back. "God I want you. " He growls, I blinked in suprise as he slowly pushes me back.

A twinge of pain shots up my body. Why the hell did he push me away?!

"What the heck?" My wolf is also agitated. Should have kept her in check. Dean chuckles noticing I let her speak.

He cups my face with his hands and brings my face closer to him. He leans in but pulls back just before our lips meet. Damn he's playing games!

He let's his hands fall to his sides as he shacks his head. "Emberly our first kiss shouldn't be in my father's house."

I bite the inside of my cheek as I finally take in my surroundings. This bond is already getting so strong. I can't even imagine what a kiss will do. I shack my head trying not to think about it.

"Dean is that you? Don't keep your old man waiting." A voice calls from the back of the house.

"Coming father!" Dean takes my hand and leads me through the kitchen and into a hallway. I see photos of Dean and Leo as kids playing in a brook. Dean with a deer he must have killed and Leo pouting next to him. There's a family photo with his parents looking much younger. His mother has beautiful long blond hair. Her and Deans father are lookingat each other. The love they share between that one look is breathtaking. Dean definitely gets his deep blue eyes from his father.

Dean stops as we near a doorway. He looks at me and grips my hand a little tighter. I never thought this might be hard for him. I squeeze back in response. He gives me a smile as he leads us through the door.

The room is very simple one wooden dresser with two chairs next to the king size bed where a white haired man is propped up in the bed watching us with a steady gaze. He has a friendly smile spread across his face.

"Dean my boy!" His voice is raspy but his ton is full of excitement. "It's been awhile. Come sit." He points to the two chairs as he let's out a raspy cough.

Dean leads me over offering me a chair. I sit down and look back at his father. He's also watching me his gaze is steady. Dean definitely gets that look from him.

"Father this is Emberly. Emberly this is my father Alpha Scott."

"So it is true. The Sêr Clan still lives on." Alpha Scott reaches out towards my hand. I take it unsure of what he means.

"What's the Sêr Clan?" I ask the Alphas face falls slightly.

"My poor child. No one has told you of your blood line?" I shack my head no looking over at Dean. "The Sêr Clan means Star it's welsh. The clan was made up of men and women just like you. The Moon Goddess had saved them from the brink of death. Every fifteen years four of the men and women would go into the other villages and choose their mate. Whoever they chose would be the next Alpha." He stops as he breaks into coughing. Dean gets up and grabs a glass of water that's sitting on the stand.

Alpha Scott takes a slow drink before he continues. "Sadly the other season clans didn't like that. Since some of the Sêr Clan was men that meant a few of the women could be Alpha. They thought that make their pack weak to have a women rule over them. Obviously they were wrong. My wife Lana had a cousin who was a part of the Sêr Clan. His red hair looked like fire against the Autumn leaves. All the girls in the Fall Clan wanted him. Though it was the sweet and shy Nina that one him over. If I'm correct she's still the Alpha. Which probably means you'll meat Aiden her son." As he mentioned Aiden his face flashed through my mind. A feeling of longing was pulling at my heart. His carefree smile was something I did miss.

It was crazy to think that Aiden's mother was married to a man that was like me. I couldn't wait to meet her.

"So what happened to the Sêr Clan?" I ask.

Alpha Scotts face falls slightly as he looks down at his hands. "The clans joined together and killed them all. Not all the people joined in but enough to wipe out that beautiful race. Luckily for us the Moon Goddess gave us another chance when she blessed you. It was the saddest moment in our werewolf history when we slaughtered them." When he looks back up at me I can see tears roll down his face.

My heart hurts as I see the pain in his eyes. "Why didn't Nixs tell me any of this. Or my mother!" I ball my hands into fist as I feel the anger rise in side of me.

"Alpha Nixs is probably ashamed. We don't see eye to eye much but he did try and stop his clan from joining. Most of them listened but some didn't. I was told he killed the ones who disobeyed." He starts coughing again this time longer and harder.

I can feel Dean tense unsure of what to do.

"Father you should have told me you were getting worse." Dean gets up and paces the floor.

"Son what good would it do? You have to focus on the clan and now a possible threat." Dean stops to look at him.

"Threat?" His dad nods slowly.

"That's why I called you hear. I have a sickening feeling your brother is planning something. He wants Emberly so he can become the next Alpha. I fear he'll stop at nothing to do so. I should have taken care of him after what he did to Jessica. What a fool I was to let my love overshadow my responsibility. You can not make that same mistake." Alpha Scott is shacking his head slowly. His kind eyes now hold sorrow.

"It won't be a problem. The bond I feel with Emberly is enough to overshadow the little love I have left for him. He won't hurt anyone else Father." Dean is now sitting on the bed trying to reassure his father.

"Taking your brothers life isn't what I'm asking. That would destroy you. If it comes to him trying to hurt Emberly again you exile him." Dean nods looking over at me. "I'm very sorry for what my youngest son has tried to do to you. Greed is an awful thing." Alpha Scott says before going into a fit of coughing again. This time I hand him the glass of water.

"Father you look tired. We'll come back another time when you've rested." Dean stands up giving his dad one last hug.

"It was nice to meet you. Thank you for telling me about the Sêr Clan. Definitely helps me understand myself better. I'll have to come back and learn more about them." I take his hand and give it a light squeeze.

"Uh Emberly you do an old man good. I don't get many visitors but I'm glad I got to meet you. Makes me happy knowing you'll continue the blood line through your children." He let's go of my hand as I follow Dean out the door.

To think I actually belong to a clan that was destroyed. Yet Aiden and I are connected in more ways then I thought. An Deans father knows about my people. Today may have started out awful but things are looking up.
