The few short days before the summer festival flew bye. Dean had been gone for most of them. My heart had ached for him but I knew he was trying to keep the village safe.
Last night he had come home still unsure of what Leo was up to. I could tell how frustrated he was. I didn't blame him. I was starting to feel on edge.
"Emberly are you awake? " I felt Deans arm draw me closer to him.
"Did I wake you up?" I ask, he chuckles softly pressing his lips to my bare shoulder.
"No my wolf did. He always seems to know when your awake." I turn over to face him. He smiles down at me as he traces his fingers across my jaw. "Speaking of my wolf..." His face falls slightly but he tries to regain his smile. I was dreading what he was about to say.
"What's wrong Dean?" I sit up in bed preparing myself for what he was about to say.
"I think you know what's going on. I know your wolf is feeling it to. I haven't shifted in two weeks because I know he'll lead me right back to you and-" He falters rubbing his stubbled chin.
"And finish the bond..." I whisper picking at the blanket. He nods as I let out a frustrated groan.
"I think after the summer festival tonight you should go to Aiden. He'll be at the festival with his mother and siblings. If you choose to stay longer I won't hold back. I can't...."
"Dean..." My voice was choked. I could feel my heart tighten in my chest. He rolled out of bed and started pacing.
"Emberly you know I'm right. My mind is always on you. I can hardly focus on trying to figure what Leo is up to. I'm no good to my clan or you like this. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with the overwhelming need to take you right there and then... I only have so much self control... and right now with the way your looking at me isn't helping."
I try to advert my gaze as I realize his eyes are slowly shifting into their wolf yellow. He was right I knew that much. I had caught myself fighting the same erge. Sadly the thought of leaving him was tearing me up inside. "I don't think I can say goodbye."
Tears are spilling down my face now as I realize tonight I'll have to say goodbye. I cover my face with my hands as I start to sob. "Sêr don't do that." His voice is calm as he sits back on the bed pulling me against him. He kisses my head and rubs my shoulders as I let the tears fall.
"How can I go through this three more times?!" I growl bitterly through my sobs.
"You'll be able to do it because your strong. Though I'm hoping you'll dislike them all so you come back to me." I can't help but smile slightly. I'm sure all the guys will feel that way.
"Dean!! Where are you?!?" We pull apart as we hear Trents voice from down stairs.
"Looks like duty calls. I'll see you at the festival. Aiden said he'd keep his distance until after the party. So I'll have you all to myself." He kisses me softly on the lips before he gets up to change.
"Emberly stop hogging Dean!" I chuckle as I see Trent come into the room. I hear Dean let out a protective growl shifting his body to block Trent from seeing me.
Even though I had pj shorts on and a tank top Dean couldn't help being protective. His wolf was definitely becoming possessive.
Trent smirked at Dean knowing very well that he was pushing his limits.
"How many times are you gonna keep doing this?" Dean growled pulling on his shirt. He still had me slightly blocked from Trents view.
"Until you actually make her your Luna. I'm not about to test my luck than." I can't help but let out a small laugh. I'm sure Dean would try and wrip his head off if he walked in on us having sex. Just the thought of that made my wolf push through my thoughts. She was definitely getting restless. I hadn't shifted since I got here. I definitely didn't trust her. Though she was never far from my thoughts since the bond was becoming so intense.
"Good idea." Dean says coming back over to me and kissing me once more. "I'll see you tonight. I just have to make sure the village is secure for tonight. Gotta make sure Leo can't attack." I nodded feeling worry and sadness well up inside of me. I watched as he followed Trent out the door.
I flopped back onto the bed letting myself wallow in self pity. I had come to love the Spring Clan. Alpha Scott knew so much about the Sêr Clan. He was always eger to share his knowledge with me. Lina his wife had been like a mother to me. She came over when Dean was gone to just give me company. Even though she said it was just because she need space from Alpha Scott. I knew that was a lie. They were so in love. Ebony had been my shadow ever since Dean asked her to keep an eye on me. I enjoyed listening to her young childhood problems. Beth was crazy and clingy when it came to Dean but she came around once in awhile and I learned to enjoy her in some way. Though she made me feel uneasy. Probably because my wolf knew she had a thing for Dean.
I let out a loud frustrated sigh as I rolled out of bed. It was probably best if I started packing and saying my goodbyes now. Dusk would be here before I knew it and I'd be with Aiden tomorrow heading for the Fall Clan.
Aiden....
....
........
Dean.......
My heart felt conflicted as I thought about the two guys. This would never get easier.
