Wolfsbane

"Addy!?" I yell as Trent and I rush through the front door. It crashes hard against the wall sending echo's through the house. Any other time I would apologize for barging in but Ser wasn't doing good. Her breathing was coming in gasps and her skin was cold.

"Set her on the table." He called from the kitchen as I hear him rattle through cabinets. "I know she keeps it here somewhere. I've needed it a few time." He growls in frustration.

I set Emberly gently down brushing her damp hair from her face. Emberly was looking more like Jess when she took her last breath. I suck in a shaky breath. "I swear if you die Ser I wont be able to take it."

"Dean?" I jump slightly as I hear Addy's voice behind me. "What's going on?" She moves past me and examines Emberly.

"Ma thank goodness you're here! Were do you keep the cure for wolfsbane? I can't find it anywhere." Trent called out from the kitchen. I watch as her face falls ever so slightly.

"I gave the rest I had to Beth. She said Alpha Scott needed it. I won't have any until tomorrow." Her gaze falls onto Emberly's still form. Her eyes seem change as she slowly connects the dots. "I'm so sorry Dean. Did they use this on her?" I nod numbly as I slowly slump into the chair next to her. I rack my hands through my hair as I feel Nero push forward with an anguished howl. It surged through my body with such anger and pain that the house trembled.  "I'm so sorry Dean. Even if I had what I gave to Beth it wouldn't be enough to save her." Addy places a gentle hand on my shoulder as we watched helplessly.

****"Dean is she okay?" I hear Aiden's voice rush through my mind.

***"Barely... did you find the cure?"

****"NO! I swear he swallowed it!"

****"Well you need to be here anyways. I don't think she'll make it."

****"Shit..." was all he could choke out.

"Is Aiden coming?" Trent asked as he leaned against the wall trying to remain calm. I could tell he was also thinking of how Emberly looked just like Jess. Death came to many in different ways.... but it always looked felt the same to the ones they left behind. This time though I felt soo helpless. She could be saved, but I didn't have the cure to do it.

BANG!

We all jumped slightly as the screen door burst open again. "That was fast Aiden ." Trent said as a figure merged from the hallway. Instead it was Eros. His body was drenched in sweat and I could tell he had been running for awhile. He quickly stumbled toward Addy and ripped off his bracelet and handed her a bottle.

"The.. c..ure." He breathed out before slumping against the wall. A tinge of hope seeped through m y body and I could finally breath a little easier.

"How did you know?" I ask as Addy rushes into the kitchen to add a few needed thing.

"Ever since I was picked for the Summer Clan our connection has deepened. Earlier I was sleeping and this burning pain cursed through my body. Than overwhelming fear and Leo's name popped into my head. I had this awful taste in my mouth and knew it was Wolfsbane. I came her as fast as I could. I only had a little of the cure so I hope it's enough." He said as he came over to Emberly and stroked  her cheek. Her breathing was now coming ever so slowly and sometimes it even stopped. I could tell her wolf was fighting to live.

"Thank you Eros." He nods as Addy comes back into the room.

She made her way to Emberly. "I'm going to inject  this into her blood stream. It's not a lot but hopefully it will be enough." before she inserted the needle another crash from the door was heard.

"Finally Tristen. Eros even made it here before you." Trent joked as he heard foots steps coming towards us.

"Not Aiden bitches." I deep voice said as I turned to see Darien standing in the doorway. "Need this Addy?" He said holding out a bottle filled with lavender liquid. The cure! She looked confused but quickly grabbed it and added that into her syringe.

"How did you know? I can understand Eros but you?" Aiden said making us all jump slightly.

"When the heck did you get here?" Trent said a little nervous.

"You all ere to focused on Darien to realize I came in with him."

"To answer your question my sister is Psychic. She predicted this yesterday and instead of sending a letter which would have come to late I decided to come myself." He says as we all crowded around Addy as we watched her inject the cure into Emberly's pale damp skin.

"I pray that the Moon Goddess gives her strength. She now has to do the rest herself. She's gone along time without the cure. I'm amazed she's even alive. You boys should get some rest. It'll be awhile before she wakes up." She gives me a light tap across my cheek and smiles. "She's a fighter."

"Thanks Addy." I say as she leaves us alone with Emberly.

"Who knew we'd all be together again so soon." Aiden chuckles.

"Well I like this upgraded Leo a lot better than the first one." Darien says eyeing me closely. I can tell he's unsure of me.

"Speaking of which where is Leo?" I turn to Aiden who averts his gaze. "What happened Aiden?"

"Your father came and got him and took him away. I told him I'd help but he said he wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. Whatever that mean. I didn't protest though because you told me she wasn't doing good." I watch as Trent slips out of the room without the others knowing. He already knew what I was going to ask. I'd make sure to thank him and Addy for everything once everything settled down.

"So who's taking the first shift? " Eros asked breaking through the silence. Aiden raised his hand and pulled up a seat next to her.

"I'll do it. You guys get some rest. I'll get one of you once I'm to tired to keep my eyes open." I nodded without any questions. The adrenaline rush had finally worn off and I was feeling drained. I knew that with all four of us she'd definitely be safe.

                                                                                Emberly's P.O.V

For countless hours and days I've felt this never ending grasp of life slipping away. Each time I felt like I was about to slip away I'd have to claw through the darkness to the voices I heard just above the darkness. Sometimes I'd hear Eros or Dean. A few times I heard Aidens voice but one time when I was about to let go completely I felt a warm hand trace my jaw. An Dariens voice broke through. "Little Wolf you maybe confused about who you are but you are no quitter." That's all I needed to hear. He may get under my skin but I couldn't let him down. I had so much more to do. My wolf also wasn't giving up. In a way this had been a good bonding moment for her and I. Still didn't understand her well but I knew we were both fighters and that was important. I was also thankful for that because when I was to tired she took over. We would survive this together.
