the stars above the night sky
caught curious eyes.
twinkling white lights lies,
among cut and broken ties.
in the vastness of the night.the sun is a star,
a wise man once said.
it bakes the world so near yet so far;
sweat-drenched faces and cheeks like cherry red.in another galaxy far away;
miniscule this humongous light becomes.
seen only at the end of the day
of tired, coarse, and sweaty palms.millions of them scattered on a black canvas;
pockets of universes in each light.
universes parallel and vast;
a man's dream to take flight.
drifting off to sleep,
dreaming the vastness of the night.***†***
