*Ding Ding!*

The little bell, above the big wooden door you just walked through, rang out.

The place that you had just walked in on was, what looked like to be, a library.

You had never seen this library before, yesterday it was just an empty and run down building, but now there were shelves full of books that covered every wall that also had a ladder so that you could get to the higher shelves, a front desk placed perfectly in the middle of the room and plenty of sofas and comfy armchairs to sit in.

However, one thing was still missing... the people! In every library you had ever gone into, weather on purpose or by accident, had always seemed to have at least a few people in it, looking at books ect., but this one was completely bare.

Making a note of how odd and out of place this library was you thought that you might as well take a look at some of the old books that this place had in stock so that you could keep yourself busy before having to leave and do the other things that you had planned to do today.

Turning a corner you come to a dead end, finding nothing you turn around and start to walk away but as soon as you turn your back you feel a rush of air and to see where it came from you turn back around and see... a massive leather bound book sitting on a pedestal.

You open the book and read what was written on the first page:

'Warning! This book contains mystery, magic, music, monsters, friendship and a journey that takes six friends to the ends of the earth and back with a little self discovery, danger and fun along the way!'

Having peaked your curiosity you close the book and look at what the book is called and who could have written such a interesting sounding book.

The title and authors name was:

'The musicians VS. The shadow demon: A personal experience

Written by:...'

But before you could read the authors name, a short, old man snatched it out of your hands.

"What! Who are you? Didn't you hear the warnings?! how did you get your hands on this book?! It was locked in a safe that was guarded by...! Oh I see what has happened here... *sigh* ...he is going to get us all killed one day!"

You stand there looking confused. Why would a random stranger come into a library take a book off you and start telling you off?

"Huh? Why are you looking at me like that?... Oh my goodness! I haven't introduced myself. Where are my manners! *ahem* I am bookie, I am the one that looks after the books in this library, but most people call me scaredy-cat, old man, twinkle toes, bob and, my personal favourite, the beast!"

You look at him sceptically, none of those names could be his real name! Are they?

"As you can tell none of these are my real name..."

Huh! question answered.

"...but I don't see the need to tell you my name. why? Well..." the book keeper looked really uncomfortable " for reasons that are mine and mine alone so mind your own business!" shouted the book keeper while he shook a finger in your direction.

You jump back a bit, slightly surprised at the book keepers shouting.

"But I suppose that you will problably figure it out sometime soon anyway so ill just leave it up to you. But anyway you didn't come to this library to hear me ramble on and on, unless you did I which case I am flattered but I am not going to talk about myself all the time! I have got a job to do! But seeing as though you are here, I might as well tell you a story. I am the book keeper after all."
