It was getting dark. The sun was setting and it was almost night.
"Don't tell me that we have to travel at night?!" Boris complained. The dark was one of his worst fears.
"Well... yes if we want to get to the songbird before the conductor." Megan answered.
"Ohhhh! Not good, not good, not good! All the worst things come out at night!" Boris trembled.
"Don't worry Boris, as long as we stick together and protect each other nothing should be able to hurt us and we will be able to defeat it" Jen reassured Boris, he wasn't completely sure but he was a lot more settled.
The evil spirt hated to see everyone so supportive and caring of one another he hoped that his plan would take effect soon.
As the group walked down the narrow dirt path through the woods, conversation was light and the atmosphere was tense as everyone tried to get over what had happened in the previous day, Megan more so than anyone because most of what happened happened to her.
"Everyone is talkative this evening" Joey said jokingly with a smile.
"We are just quite shocked about everything that has happened recently, its just not quite what we expected" Jen said.
"Yeah! I can't believe that we actually met the real musicians!" Joey was quite excited, the others didn't share in his excitement but they certainly tried to match it once they realised that he still didn't remember the things that had happened.
"I know right! I think the twins were awesome and are the best part of the musicians!" John said.
"No way! The warrior is the best with all the fighting stuff that he knows" Jonah emphasised his point with a karate chop.
"Uhhhh actually, I think you'll find that the conductor was the best! He had the power to control things and make them fight for him!" Joey argued.
Jen didn't join in with the excitement, she was too on edge and was nervously keeping watch just incase anything else happened or jumped out at them.

She didn't see anything for a while and was finally starting to relax when she saw something dark appear on the horizon.
"Uhhhh... everyone! I think we have company!" Jen said in a panicked tone and pointed towards the dark mass in front of them.
Everyone strained to look at what she was talking about.
"What is that?! I don't think I want to go this way anymore!" Boris questioned fearfully.
The thing looked about the same size as a normal adult. It was tall, about six feet tall but no-one could make out any other features because it was stood so far away. So all they knew was there was a person stood in the shadows, that person was standing in the groups way and they needed to find a way to get past it/them in one way or another.
"Well, there is only one way to find out, plus its blocking the way that we have to go to find the song bird so we have to get past it." Megan stated.
"Why do you always have to be right..." Boris groaned.
Cautiously, the group followed Megan and Joey, who were walking at the front of the group, through the woods, hopefully towards the place that the Songbird was hidden and towards where the shadowy figure stood.
"What is that thing?! It's so... creepy" Joey said, now sufficiently spooked by the thing that was stood in front of him.
"Im looking through the book of monsters, magical creatures and evil spirits that I took from the bookworms room and I can't find anything on this thing." Megan said while concentrating hard on looking through the big leather-bound book in her hands.
