The Mystery Files: The Journey to find the songbird

Chapter 4: Doors, Rooms, and musical instruments

"Hey, Megan! Come here!" Joey shouted. "I think that this was the bookworms room! So, I guess that makes it your room now!" Joey had a big excited smile on his face, he was super excited to be inside the MUSICIANS hideout.

Megan ran up to Joey, Boris, and Jonah who were standing in front of a big wooden door that had a picture of a book carved into it.

Once everyone had taken a deep breath and readied themselves for what they might find inside the room, they took a step forward, opened the door and stepped into the room.

As soon as she was in the room, Megan's eyes instantly lit up!

The room was decorated to look like a library from a kings castle. The walls were painted a deep red and were filled with shelves that were full of books that had information on every creature in the known world. The group could definitely see why the person that lived in this room was called the bookworm.

The ceiling was painted to look just like the night sky with all of the constellations marked out on it.

"That's why they were so good at finding their way! They followed the stars!" Megan said in amazement. 

There was a window in the back, right-hand corner of the room so that you could see over the tops of the trees, see beautiful mountains and a stone temple that was far off in the distance.

There was also what looked like a desk on the other side of the room that was completely covered in books, drawings of monsters and beautiful landscapes and some random notes on different things that the bookworm must have been working on before they, and the other musicians disappeared.

"Wow! I think that I am going to feel right at home here! But it's going to be hard work to get the room tidy!" Megan giggled happily and set to work clearing the desk and the thick layer of dust that had settled on everything.

"Mine next! Mine next!" Jonah was eagerly jumping up and down like a little kid.

Jonah, Boris, and Joey all walked quickly towards the next door in line which was indeed Jonahs.

The door to the warriors' room was large, made of large metal sheets bolted together and it had a metal wheel on the front of it that you had to turn in order for them to be able to enter the room.  

Joey turned the wheel, pushed and pulled on the door but it wouldn't open... he tried a few more times but it still wouldn't open.

Boris tried a few more times but it still wouldn't budge.

"Here... let me try..." Jonah went to reach for the handle and as soon as he touched the door... it started to glow! "WOW! Did I do that?" Jonah said looking at his hand.

"Oh Sir, have you forgotten again?"

"What?! Who said that?!" Jonah was actually surprised and confused for once.

"Hahaha, It was me, sir! Dominic!"

"Dominic? Where are you?" Jonah was super confused and all three of them turned around to see if it was someone behind them.

"Hahaha Turn around, I'm right in front of you!"

It sounded like the mysterious voice was coming from the door and once they all turned to face the door, they had a big shock. In front of them was the door to the warriors' room but it now had eyes, a nose, a mouth and was talking to them!
