Alexandra

The bus smelled like sweat and dirt. It made Alexandra's nose scrunch up—she saw Kai cover her mouth and nose with her sweatshirt sleeve, and Alexandra honestly couldn't blame her.

She sat down on one of the bus seats, taking notice to Kai and MJ sitting next to each other. Peter sat down next to her and Ned took a spot across the aisle from them. Peter seemed nervous, he was tapping his fingers against the seat and glancing around.

Alexandra put her hand against his arm and he looked over at her. "Calm down, it'll be okay." She tried to assure him. He sighed and leaned back in the seat, taking her hand in his and running his fingers across her knuckles. She leaned closer to him in an attempt to get him to further calm down.

"You guys are so gross," Ned complained.

Alexandra glared at him, without any real heat. "Aren't you one of the people who was meddling to make this happen?"

Ned shrugged. "Sure—but I didn't sign up for you two being all over each other all the time."

"We are not—we're not—all over—" Peter sputtered.

Peter was a bit on edge throughout the entire bus ride, but other than that it was a relatively unexciting trip. Including Flash's annoying antics, which Kai was able to shut down almost as soon as they started.

"Hey, Penis! You think Tony Stark will give us an exclusive tour?" Flash taunted. "Y'know, since you know him and everything." He snorted.

"Congrats, Flash, good one. So, should I ship your 'World's Tiniest Dick' award to your P.O. box or do you have another preference?" Kai snapped. This got Flash to sit down and shut up for the rest of the ride.

MJ snorted at Kai, who shrugged and smiled in lieu of a verbal response.

When the bus got across the river and to the Stark Industries Compound, their school bus was allowed to park in the executive parking lot, which Alexandra bet was only allowed because Tony Stark might have known Peter was coming along. She glanced over at Peter, who was bouncing his leg up and down repeatedly and had been since they left the school.

The students grabbed their things and climbed off the bus, following Mr. Dorris closely. The workshop teacher seemed bored, as usual, and even when the tour guide came to greet the class he didn't act any different.

"Hi there!" The tour guide greeted cheerfully. "Welcome to Stark Industries, my name is Mark and I'll be your tour guide for the day." He smiled widely and the students. "Has anyone ever visited the compound before?"

Flash turned around, looking expectantly at Peter and snorted when he said nothing. Alexandra glared at Flash, who rolled his eyes and returned his attention to Mark. "Well, in that case, let's get started! We've got a lot of ground to cover!"

The class followed Mark inside, and immediately the 'ooh'ing and 'ahh'ing began. Stark Industries was really a sight to behold. It was pristine, spotless, state of the art—even the people who worked there seemed, to Alexandra at least, perfect.

She couldn't help but feel amazed as the tour progressed. Kai would mutter something excitedly to Michelle every now and then, but eventually, she turned to their small group. "Do you think we'll get to see Tony Stark? No—or even better, Pepper Potts?!" She asked excitedly.

"I'd love to meet Ms. Potts," MJ added. "Everyone knows she's the whole reason this place hasn't gone to shit yet."

"I doubt Pepper Potts has time to come out and talk to us," Alexandra replied, though she had to admit, meeting the CEO of Stark Industries would be cool.

And of course, Flash just couldn't mind his own business and turned to answer. "Maybe Peter can use his super special internship to get Tony Stark AND Pepper Potts to come down and say hello!" He said with a soft laugh.

"Amazing," Alexandra murmured.

"Huh?" Flash looked at her.

"We weren't even looking at you and you still managed to assume you were invited to the conversation!" She replied, noticing the small smile that appeared on Peter's face as Flash rolled his eyes and ignored them once more.

Peter grabbed her hand. "Thanks."

"Oh my God! It's THEM!" A girl in their class called Laura squealed, pointing up to a set of stairs. Alexandra turned her head and let out a sigh before she and Ned exchanged a look.

Oh no.

Pepper Potts and Tony Stark just so happened to be visiting the compound that day.
