Alexandra
Everything was so hot. She felt sick. Who were all of those voices? Could they shut up for a few minutes? Her head was killing her. Why were the lights so bright? God, everything really sucked right now.
"Shut up..." She mumbled. She thought she heard another voice so she yelled this time. "Shut up!"
Silence.
"Thank you."
"You're awake, kid?" Alexandra recognized that voice. She forced her eyes open and came face to face with Tony Stark. She groaned and pressed a hand against her forehead, trying to sit up, and immediately regretting it when she felt her stomach churn.
"I'm gonna be sick." She covered her mouth with her hand.
"Hold up, I got it." Tony slid across the room in his rolling chair and grabbed a bucket sitting on the floor before handing it up to her.
Alexandra leaned over the bucket and emptied the contents of her stomach into it. She groaned and set it down on the ground before leaning back and wiping her brow clean of sweat. She then looked over at Tony and then around the rest of the room. "Where did Peter go?" She asked.
Tony glanced over at her. "He went looking for Immanuel Clements and his buddy," he replied. "They're trying to figure out what exactly they gave you."
"Huh?"
His eyes widened slightly. "Uh—right." He turned in his chair to face her. "You don't need to freak out, okay? Everything is going to be fine. Because Peter isn't going to stop until he figures out how to help you."
"Mr. Stark you're kind of starting to freak me out—" She trailed off.
"Right, sorry. So those guys—they stuck a needle in your neck and gave you some sort of sickness—disease—whatever you wanna call it," Tony told her. "But again, there's nothing for you to worry about because they're out there as we speak trying to track down the guys who did this so we can get the cure."
Alexandra slowly nodded before furrowing her eyebrows and looking up at Tony. "They?" She asked. "Who's they?"
"Peter and your dad."
"What?!" Her sudden outburst startled Tony into nearly falling out of his swivel chair. He caught himself on the edge of the table and was able to readjust himself so he wouldn't fall. "Why would you tell my dad?! I didn't want he or my Papa knowing that I was—"
Tony held his hands up and pointed a finger at her. "Hey, your dad isn't going to say anything to Leo about this—not yet, anyway," He said. "He's just as keen to keep this a secret from him as you are."
She stared at him with a confused look on her face. "Why would he not want to tell Papa?" She asked.
He shrugged, fiddling with a wrench that he found on the table in front of him. "Well—you're gonna find out sooner or later so—long story short, your dad works for me," He began. Alexandra's jaw dropped. "He's not a lawyer, he's apart of my security team. He helps protect some of this company's most sensitive information. Specifically the Iron Man armor schematics. His position is a secret because he's ex-SHIELD and it works out better that way—safety wise and all that."
Alexandra blinked. Why was her entire world being flipped upside down right now? Her father had always been a lawyer... there was no way he had been lying to her and her Papa for her whole life. Right? He wouldn't do that.
"I think I'm gonna be sick again." She reached down to grab the bucket and almost tumbled out of bed. Tony was on his feet in an instant and caught her before she fell. He lifted her back up and placed her on the bed.
