Alexandra
Alexandra woke up alone in an unfamiliar room. She glanced around her, wondering where she was, before briefly spotting Peter's backpack sitting across the room and she relaxed. That's right, she was at Stark Industries. She was sick. Was she still sick? Maybe they had figured something out, a way to treat her...
When Dr. Ford walked in and saw that she was awake, she smiled and briskly walked to her bedside, a clipboard in hand. "It's good to see you awake, Alex," She said kindly. "How are you feeling?"
"On a scale of one to ten, ten being the best?" Alexandra replied, thinking for a moment. "Maybe a four?"
Dr. Ford's smile faltered, but only slightly. She nodded and wrote something down. Alexandra looked around the empty room and wondered where exactly everyone had gone. Dr. Ford must've noticed her glances. "Your friends and your father are out getting the man who gave you... whatever this is." The older woman assured her. "They'll be back soon."
Alexandra nodded and leaned back into the pillow, trying to make herself comfortable. She had been in this bed for a couple of days now and she was getting a bit antsy. So, she made a split second decision and swung her feet over the side of the bed and attempted to stand.
"Alexandra!" Dr. Ford exclaimed, frantically rushing to the girl's side with her arms outstretched, as though she was frightened that she would fall over. "You shouldn't be out of bed! You need to rest as much as possible!"
"But I've been laying around for two days now," Alexandra whined. She knew she sounded like a five year old, but she didn't care. "I need to stretch my legs, just for a couple of minutes."
Dr. Ford glanced up and down at her before sighing and nodding her head. "Alright, fair enough. But don't leave this room, and if you start to feel lightheaded, sit back down please." Alexandra agreed to these conditions and began to take shaky steps around the room.
It felt weird, walking. Was walking supposed to feel weird? She felt like she couldn't walk in a straight line, like she was wobbling back and forth. Kind of like walking on a tightrope or something. It made her feel giggly and as she wobbled around the room, she laughed slightly at her own silliness.
Why were things so blurry all of a sudden. Alexandra watched as the world around her began to spin and then felt her legs give out from under her. She soon found herself sat on the floor, taking deep breaths. It felt stuffy in the room. Was that normal? It didn't feel normal. And everything was spinning. Why was everything spinning?
"It's spinning?" Dr. Ford knelt down next to Alexandra and grasped the girl's arm.
Whoa, had Alexandra said those things out loud? That was crazy, she could've sworn she had said those things in her head—
"Your fever has gone up." Dr. Ford said worriedly as she felt Alexandra's forehead with the back of her hand. "Come on, we need to get you into bed."
Alexandra felt herself being helped up onto her feet and walked back over to the bed. She groaned as she was helped back under the covers and forced to lay down. No, she didn't want to be back in the bed. The bed was annoying and she was tired of just sitting there being useless.
"I know, sweetheart, I know you don't want to be here anymore and you want to go home, but you need to rest." Dr. Ford lifted a glass of water to Alexandra's lips and had her take a few sips. Seconds later, however, Alexandra was vomiting the water back up. "Oh, this is not good..." she heard Dr. Ford murmur.
Alexandra closed her eyes, hoping to alleviate some of the pain of her new, pounding headache. She heard Dr. Ford on the phone with someone, and suddenly she became very scared. "Dr. Ford..." The older woman glanced at her and moved to her side. Alexandra blinked up at her with tired eyes. "What's happening to me?"
Dr. Ford shook her head and grabbed her hand. "It's going to be okay, Alex," She said softly. "Your father is on his way back. Things will be okay soon."
Alexandra nodded, too tired to question anything else. She closed her eyes and felt herself drifting off to sleep. Everything would be okay.. her dad and Peter would make sure of it.

Okay so this chapter is incredibly short and mostly just filler oops. But don't worry, things are about to get wild. (I mean, things are already wild but MORE wild)
I hope that you guys enjoy this story and like where I take it because I'm super excited to write the third book (that's right I already have a third book planned). So enjoy!!!
