Tell Me

Tell me I mean nothing to you so I can at last let you go.

Holding on hurts more than you know.

Ropeburn

   Cracks into my soul

From the words of your lips

and the vacant stare you give when I use mine

So tell me

  I'm meaningless

      worthless to you

so that I may let go

Unless, you want me

   to stay

in which case, I must know

though, I may flee

because it is too scary

too impossible

that someone could love me

So I request an answer

a reply

of how you feel inside

so I do not place myself

  in a perpetual state

     of isolation

     and ponderation

The floor is giving way from the circles I've walked it

My heart is giving way from the love that caught it

We're hanging on a thread that is bursting

My darling

What am I to you?
