Mr. Smith and I came back to the compound around eight at night. He carried the paint and a few bedding sheets. I carried nothing. Bucky seemed ticked off and confused that he even agreed to spend the day with someone with a bad aura. SWABA. But he did. Barely spoke unless I forced him to speak on decisions. Everyone despite Stark was in the dining room, eating takeout. I sat down at the table and Bucky joined soon after.
"You guys were gone for a while." Sam gave Bucky a look.
Bucky was in a mood.
"Shopping. Gypsy style room. That military theme is not going to work for this little lady." I gave a small nod.
Natasha handed me a slice of pizza. She asked Bucky if he wanted any. He shook his head.
"So, tell us about your powers." Wanda asked.
I sat back and bit into the slice.
"I can cause someone pain."
"We all can." Natasha laughed.
I focused on the bodies in the room despite Barnes. I didn't lift a finger or a muscle I just imagined intense pain seeping up their abdomens, to their lungs, to their necks and heads. They started crying out in the pain. Bucky looked around confused. Wanda grabbed her head and fell off the chair. I drew the energy back to me. Immediate breaths of relief filled the room. Wanda got up from the floor and shook her head.
"That kind of pain. The one that squeezes your organs so tight and so quick that you want to carve it out." I smiled.
"Why didn't you do it to him?" Sam pointed at Bucky.
"Figured he had enough of dealing with the SWABA today." I shrugged.
"What's a SWABA?" Steve asked.
I explained it to them.
"What I said wasn't anything but the truth."
"Mr. Barnes." Steve began to scold Bucky.
"Your fingers." Natasha whispered softly to me, pointing at my hand.
I was so busy talking and using my Agony to feel the pain crawling up my hand. It began to badly twitch, the movement pushing up to my elbow. I reached for the locket on my neck but remembered I took it off. I jumped up and ran to my room. Before I could make it to my locket, the rigid spasms crawled up my whole body. I fell to the floor, losing balance and the spams jerked through me. I tried to call out for help but I was muted. It felt like my body was telling me to go fuck myself. The spasm went on for ten minutes before I regained mobility in my arms. Enough mobilization to attempt to crawl. Bucky came in the room and saw.
"What the hell?" He frowned.
I felt the spasm intensify as I got scared. I pointed to the locket before the spasms took over my hands again. He got the message and grabbed it for me. He placed it in my hand and held it there as I soaked in the breathtaking energy. The spasms ended soon after and I sat up, on the floor. Bucky looked confused.
"I'm a SWABA." I coughed slightly.
"Yeah. You are. Steve made me come check on you because apparently I was rude." Bucky pushed his hair back.
"Rude. Ha!" I laughed. "I can handle more than your nipple twist. What just happened, didn't. Got it? Good. Get out."
"I just came to see if you were okay." He rolled his eyes.
"I don't need Kristen from the Babysitter club swooping down to save the day." I held up a hand.
Bucky took a deep breath. "Fine, SWABA. Be that way."
"I will." I smiled.
Bucky growled and stormed out, beyond angry.
