Reaching Out

I sort felt bad about the way I acted towards Bucky. I was embarrassed that he even saw a glimpse of my episode. I am fine. I'm always fine. After my shower and getting dressed I went to go find Tony Stark. He was in his lab, coffee cups everywhere.

"Stark."

He turned around from whatever he was working on. "Lady Agony."

"I am not used to the whole expressing my problems thing but I am experiencing intense seizures."

"Why?"

"Because I need an energy source. I sort of lost my ability to use my gift of telekinesis and the seizures started happening. The locket was my energy source but it's fading."

"An energy source. Like from the sun?"

"Doesn't really matter. This locket sort of was dropped at my front door when the spasms began happening. No dialogue. The locket juice is running out quickly. I have maybe a month left."

Tony thought for a minute. "And what happens when the locket perishes?"

I shrugged. "I honestly have no bloody idea."

Tony nodded slowly. "All right, give me a while to work this out."

"Thank you." I smiled.

I walked back upstairs and saw Bucky coming out of the dining room with a plum.

"More plums." I mumbled as I passed him.

"More plums." He nodded.

"Hey, my furniture is coming soon. Need that big strong arm."

He didn't reply as he walked out.

In the afternoon, my furniture did come. All black dressers, a black bed frame, a black couch with a black coffee table and a black fluffy rug. Bucky and I spent the day painting my room black and moving the furniture around. By the end of it, I was satisfied with everything.

"Thank you." I said to Bucky. "I feel at home now."

"All black shows a sign of depression." Bucky pointed out.

"I wouldn't say depressed. I would say more like empty." I informed him, sitting on my bed.

"How come?"

I paused. What would happen if I tell him?

"I had a really good life. Boyfriend, best friend, family is still in London but you know." I shrugged. "Was working for shield and then it went to shit and I began working Fury's under the radar cases because my Agony can kill quite quickly. And then my boyfriend cheated with my best friend in our bed, I killed them both, Nick threw me in a nut house, left me there and now I'm here."

Bucky listened. "You're not empty. You're hurt."

"I'm not-"

"It's okay to be hurt, Gen." he cut me off. "It's okay to feel." His alarm went off in his pocket. "Steve wants me to go work out."

"I'm probably going to take a nap." I told him.

He nodded slowly and turned to walk out. My eyes trailed down his back, to his rear and to his thighs. Jesus.
