Chapter 11 - Seven Things

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let us down probably will. Edward did! He wasn’t supposed to break my heart but he did.

I’ve got my heart broken and tried to break other’s heart. I wanted revenge, really wanted it badly.

I cried because time is flying by, and I got a wedding to stop. It seemed late.

But everything has changed. Some fireworks triggered my unknown feelings for this man. I learned it the time I kissed him. I realized I can’t let this man go without returning the love he has given me. That’s why I have these good ideas in my mind.

When I was in my second year in high school, I wrote something stupid on my journal. Yeah, I really believe it was stupid. But since I was young then, it was all beautiful. I’m living a tale with Edward that time. Gay and full of hopes and dreams.

But now when I opened this journal it was like magical scripts again. It’s a new tale, new love.

I was smiling when I start to read each word I wrote. You can probably say na para akong tanga na nakangiti dito.

Love like you’ve never been hurt.

I’m doing that. I need to forgive Edward freely. Maybe some other times, we’ll talk. And we’ll smile again like when we were friends. After that, I can really be happy with Lance without the regrets and pains of the past haunting me. Yung totoong masaya, hindi talk-shit lang.

You know how loving is a magical thing to do, right? Sa mga na-inlove na at patuloy na nagmamahal alam niyo na siguro ang feeling. It’s like everything is set into right place. Sometimes mapapamura ka talaga sa kilig. Naalala ko tuloy yung times mga nangyari pa kagabi after kong ma-realize na gusto ko talaga si Lance.

“Gay-shit? Wait, are you trying me Miss?”

“No, I mean it’s colorful and gay. I love it Lance!”

“Just it?”

“Ok, I love you Lance. Next time, magbigay ka naman ng warning or hint kapag may surprise ka.”

“Kaya nga surprise, no hints, no warnings. And I like surprising you. Kasi naman ako ang nassurprise sa huli.”

I think I’m blushing. Blame the hormones, bakit ba kasi bigla-bigla ko na lang siyang hinalikan. This is not so me, but no regrets!

“See? I love you Candice.”

“You’re freaking me to death Lance. Stop making me love you more @sshole.”

“Stop cussing sweety! Hindi bagay.”

“Sweety? Seriously? Yan na ba ang endearment mo sa’kin?”

“Ayaw mo? I can go with babe, baby, honey, darling, love, care, mahal, girlfriend, wifey, and etc. Pili ka lang!”

“None of those. Those are freaking gamit na!”

Natawa naman siya sa sinabi ko. What? Eh sa ayaw ko ng second hand eh. Sorry, but I prefer originality.

“Then what? Candy?”

“Ugh, no! Someone’s been calling me that already.”

He made this ‘I don’t know but is he jealous’ face? Seriously, wala naman siyang dapat na ipagselos. Isa pa hindi na nga nagpapakita sa’kin yung devil na yun, works fine on me.

“Are you jealous? Please don’t! Okay?”

“Okay. Then bukas ko na lang sasabihin kung ano itatawag ko sa’yo. Hihigitan ko yang ‘Candy’ na yan.”
