The hall was filled with returning students as they talked over their summer. First years were about to enter and so Albus stood causing silence to take over. As soon as he sat the doors swung open and a stern witch walked through the crowd with shaking first years not far behind. The hat was sat on the stool watching who was to be sorted and as soon the woman in green turned to face all the students the hat sang a gruff song.

The small girl watched on in wonder as to the singing hat but when the fabric stopped she stood in her raised seat. "Sit down Islay." Albus warned and with a cross face she did so. It was more of a drop than sitting though as it was heard very clearly. Islay watched on in curiosity as the hat was placed onto head after head and then a loud voice would shout random words. As tables cheered so did Islay as she felt a burning electricity run through her veins. Word had spread of Albus having a child and so the first years watched eagerly to see what she actually looked like. Some papers claimed she was 'bean like' whilst others took claim to having pictures of her but none actually did. Not once had papers even gained an inkling as to the child having silver hair or pale eyes.

When the meal passed by the students all left and Islay stood again. "Sit down dear Bean." The girl huffed and sat again as short, stumpy arms crossed in annoyance. The girl watched as all the students left. Albus then decided to lift the girl and they walked back side by side to his office. The steps set a challenge that Islay was determined to face. Albus could only admire her pure desire and determination. "Sweet Islay you do not have to storm off." As the words left his mouth the sound of a distant hoot filled his ears. The owl landed on his shoulder and after a second the string was pulled to free the envelope and off the bird flew away. Confusion as to why the letter was received so late settled when the seel was noticed. The girl was only a step away and so urgently the letter was opened. The Ministry were clearly desperate.

Long arms captured the girl and instantly her face buried into his robes. Small pale eyes met their covering as sleep took the girl from conciousness. The steps clearly tired her out more than he had realised and so he let her sleep. The walls were passed and so were steps as long strides took the man to his office. The statue moved and allowed him access. Instantly the girl was rapidly dressed in pyjamas and a new nappy, too tired to even wake like he had hoped. The girl was wrapped in fabrics of every kind as he hoped to keep her warm.

Stairs were once again approached as his wizards dress robes turned and moved with his every step along the floor. The child clung to his neck as the night drew on and she was whisked through the castle. "Mr Loughgall. Five points are to be taken from Hufflepuff." A wall was clearly kicked as the boy headed back to his room. Still the elderly man walked through the empty halls. The castle was barren and odd noises occasionally highlighted the position of a student that led to house points being lost. "Quite the night to escape apparently." The man mused to himself as a wooden door came into view. Slow steps finally made it to the door as the wood was reverently shoved open. "I was hoping to see you here Minerva." The woman didn't look up as the documents before her filled her mind. "I have just been contacted by the ministry. I am afraid that they require me to do something. It involves the Potter family." Immediately the beady eyes shot up and met his dazzling blue ones. "Very well. Have fun." The uncertainty was held in the witch's voice as she spoke. "I would like to ask a favour." The woman's face spoke it all. An 'I figured there was more to it' face met him and so he spoke. Not once did he sound nervous or cheeky, his usual tone kept him as the cheer was displayed. "I ask that you look after Islay until I return. They admit that I will only just have time to eat and sleep. Never mind care for a child." The older woman stood abruptly and the chair scraped along the stone beneath her. "Very well. I suppose her clothes are in your room." The man nodded but made a comment about Daisy the house elf getting clothes for her. "Daisy can also change the nappies." He admitted as the child was being handed over. All too quickly though the rambunctious child woke and groggy eyes took in the woman holding her. Albus quietly waved in hopes of not letting the baby watch him leave. Deja vu took the man as he remembered leaving her with the Weasley family.
