If life could have gotten worse Islay was sure she could not have told. Her father was furious but not. He was a little confused if he was honest. How had the goblet taken her name when such specific spells had been used to make sure that it never happened and still it did. Silver hair and pale eyes ran along the classroom for one last time. "Right. Remember that if anyone asks I did not tell you that there were any kind of dragons involved." Islay nodded and bit on her lip. "Oh please. You are the most powerful witch of your age and you know it. Don't let a few scales get in your way. Beside any sort of point, your father would find all loopholes if he believed you to be in that much danger." Islay nodded and walked from the room with the older woman. Harry was not far away and he took the pale hand that was stretched out. "Thanks." Islay spoke as he tried to soothe her. No matter how good she was told she was Islay was a real panicked person. Even over the simplest of things. Mad eye and Minerva walked with the pair to the stands where the competition was going to take place. When alone some pictures were taken by a skier? Islay had no clue what her name was but the blaring light made Islay walk away and find another place to be scared.

The dragon tokens were pulled and Harry was about to shout but saw the look on Islay and held it back. "Norwegian Ridgeback." She muttered and Harry pulled her close to him but she pulled away. "I need air. Sorry." It was like the world was suffocating her as the day was getting progressively worse and more dangerous. Loud cheers shouted through the stadium and shaky breaths left Islay. "Come on then you." An odd gruff voice announced and Islay did as the voice suggested. Some cheers and other boos were given through the crowd as she walked out. Many from her own school.

The dragon was pointed and the edges seemed harsh as it flared anger towards her. Just short of sharting herself Islay was completely terrified. To her this was the worst thing in the world to happen. Albus watched on with worry and mild intrigue. It still made him concerned that her name was put in, nevermind being pulled out. Still it had to happen and happen it did. It was at small moments like that, that made Albus really think of Erin South. Islay resembled her mother so much that if tired many could confuse the two for one another. Many times he had done it himself.

The dragon was angry for no apparent or obvious reason. Barty Crouch Senior was on edge. Albus could and would never forgive such a thing like that. Not that it really should matter but it did. To face the full on wrath of the only man Voldemort feared in the whole world had to mean something and Barty was no stupid. The crowd were on the edge of their seats and many hoped to see the girl suffer, even just a little. Many were heartless chits who needed some real discipline in their lives but alas they never had to face the real world before and adults tried so hard to keep them from having to.

Spikes kept the dragon looking fierce as it was doing its job and protecting the egg from her. Islay walked slowly around when the beast opened its mouth and fire was seen to spit flames from its mouth. "No." She shouted and on time the flames stopped. The teeth that were much too large were gone and the scaled beast began charging at her. Islay ducked behind some rocks and the dragon opened the chamber of fire again. The wooden posts near her seemed to be damaged already. It was no secret that whatever Harry had done did some damage as they were fixing the stands when she had stepped out. McGonagall looked flustered and odd glances had been given to Snape so it was clear something had happened there but no questions could be asked until after the championship. "Miss Dumbledore." Was called from the stand loudly. 'What?' Islay thought as the voice of McGonagall called out. That was until the spindly dragon's tail was seen moving to her. After a high jump the challenge was faced.

It felt like an age when Islay could finally see the golden egg. With every step taken in the right direction something would make her jump back even further. As hands moved to grab the egg Islay saw a reflection of the large beast opening its mouth again so in a sort of natural response the silver locks swung and hands lifted to try protect herself even a little. To preserve her face and brain. When the flames left the crowed stood in awe. Slowly Islay moved her arms down and saw the fire move up. The dragon was fierce and also confused. Something not a single person had ever seen before.

Eventually the creature moved forward and went to bite the child but Islay put her hand up to defend herself from the blow when the creature froze and the tail stopped where it was. Islay didn't need to be given any more time as she lifted the egg and got free. The crowd all sat stunned until loud and quick claps were heard from the stands and responses came. Cheers were sent through the stands and all of the people were chanting. A smile tugged at the pale lips as the curtain was pulled back and the contestants all stood together. Harry was a little shaken but a small clap on the back from the other males seemed to bring him back to the present. He began to punch the air slightly and a calmness fell over him. "Congrats Potter." A professor from one of the other school spoke but they busied with inconsequential things.

That night Islay found herself almost crying as she thought about how luck she had been yet also unlucky. Mat barely spoke to her and even Hermione was in a pissy with her. The know-it-all understood Harry but clearly the idea of Islay being innocent was too much. Cedric and Harry were kind and accepting but Islay knew that it was mainly because they had seen how worried she was when the tasks were discussed. Minerva took more of a parenting role in her life and it helped as Albus stepped back. He was a little scared to say the least. He was busy off helping with preparations for the competition. This didn't change whilst the plans for the next challenge were underway.

Soon the maze stood before them but Islay was leaving first. She knew that Viktor and Fleur had plans. The boys were just going to run and that was her plan. Minerva had very little time to help so Islay was left to do all plans alone. Harry and Cedric helped a lot more than expected but she had helped them with plans for the other tasks. They would have to deal with it together. Cedric always held a place in her heart as an amazing boy and potential head boy. Harry was not too dissimilar to herself. Not really willing participants. "Consent. Is it a bloody joke to all of you?" Islay furiously announced as they stood at the entrance rather anxiously.

Islay kept her left hand on the walls of the maze and at times the sound of the patroling staff could be heard. Minerva was even heard talking to herself about the injustice of all the events. It made Islay laugh but still she worked to do the school proud. Although technically the stats were in favour of Hogwarts the other two were very sneaky and quick. As she ran suddenly there was a pull at her wrist and it wasn't right. The thing had flesh, it was warm and was too strong. When her pale eyes managed to lock with it she was gone. The maze was one contestant down.

Islay was squashed and squeezed until an odd graveyard was in view. "Hello?" The noise echoed and steps moved to her. "It is you. You are the piece of sh..." The teen was stopped when a bright burst shot at her and pain followed. Silence ensued as Islay grew tired and soon it stopped. "What?" The voice spoke like a true coward. Fear ran through it and Islay smiled slightly. She seemed almost deranged. "Bugger off Wormtail." Spit flew at him and landed on his forehead. Fear ran through her when a frail being laid in the corner. Demanding to meet her.

"She is useful, alive only." The rat agreed and lifted the foetus. "You will one day fall and realise how powerful I am." The odd thing became recognised and Islay went wide eyed. "I never believed in the whole reincarnation thing until now. Your second birth? I think you aren't a failed wizard. You are a failed abortion." It seemed to strike a nerve but before anymore could be said the two walked away from her. Islay was bound by invisible cords that forced her to follow them. They were easy to overcome by her but she pitied the poor thing. still she broke free. She hid in the shadows until Harry was surrounded by beings. He went for the cup and Islay tried to get to it as well. At the last moment Harry saw for the first time but for her it was too late. He was really gone. All she heard was the start of her name from his lips. Fear sketched up her spine and her heart beat at a million miles an hour. She would have to wait for her father.
