A whirlwind of emotions suffocated the air as the castle gates came into view once again. The air was warmer than last time but still shivers were sent through all inhabitants spines. A lot had happened and Sirius was still on the loose. The stars shone and brought excitement to the air as they all walked the last few paces to the big and black gate. Tears were almost shed but that did not matter as the dark nature of the environment kept them hidden.

"Right. We have to go now. We have been here a minute longer than we were supposed to. The professor. Hagrid? Will be here to open the gates should you need him." Silver reflected the moonlight as she nodded. "Thank you. Both of you." They kissed the top of her head in turn and left. When the last three steps were taken a tall man was approaching the gates. "Who goes there?" It was a shout of anger as he feared it to be Sirius. "Hagrid. It is me. I am home." His large feet carried him to the gates where he opened them. "Well, I'll be damned. If it isn't Miss Dumbledore." Her plump, pink lips moved to a smile. Once he closed the gate her arms moved to hug him and quickly he lifted her so that her arms were able to wrap around his shoulders and neck. "Yer dad'll be so 'appy." A tear had sprung to his eye as he pulled his head back to see her. "I am so happy." After a few more moments Hargid let the girl go where he watched her walk a little further. "Yer know. This place ain't safe no more." Islay turned and walked backwards as she nodded but she quickly turned again. Her head moved all around her as she watched out for the man she had seen all over the papers. Distant screams and a howl was released far away and instantly Islay picked up her pace. The girl had only just been told she could go home, she was not going to die tonight.

The large wooden doors were heaved open and the cold air was lost in the sweltering heat that the castle had brought her. The familiar walls were all too much as the desire to suddenly cry became overwhelming. Control was taken though and the whole castle did warm even just by a degree. The halls were walled and soon steps were heard. "Student in the halls." When Filch caught a glimpse of who it was he nearly fainted. For months the girl was gone. No explanation was given to anyone who was not involved initially. The staff in the meeting and Poppy knew. That was it. "What are you doing here?" He was accusing and angry. "Sorry Mr Filch. I have just returned. I am off to see daddy." He nodded with a sneer but Mrs Norris purred as the two crossed paths. The hall left Islay alone again as she walked to one of her favourite places.

Just before Islay came to the statue she turned around. The day could be faced in another way as she headed to her room. The Gryffindor common room would be more comfortable and she could deal with her elderly father another day. The painting swung open but she seemed more frightened than before as she cautiously watched who it was. "Hello." The fat woman in frame grumbled about being woken and let the girl in after she gave the password. The whole room contained very few students but those who were awake sat stunned. "I-Islay? Is that you?" Neville asked beyond belief. "Oh yes it is. Gute Nacht!" She waved them off as she walked to her room and changed. Hermione was missing but Islay was too tired to care. Her bed was warm and comfortable as she slept away the feeling of the horrible mattress that the hospital forced onto her.

When the sun rose the day kicked in again. Lessons had been missed but her father would help her catch up and she was far ahead of her year anyway so in many ways the year had caught up to her. The students all sat talking of nothing important when her body started down the stairs. A few 'told you so' statements were made as they all smiled and greeted in one go. One person stood out. His dark skin and mesmerising eyes caught a glimpse of her and they made eye contact. "Mathew Collins. As I live and breathe." His arms shot around her and he almost crushed her to death. "Alright. Leave me be. I need to respire." A few laughs were made by those who understood, the younger students just awkwardly joined in whilst looking around the room.

The common room had settled down when breakfast was approached. Most of the students had left and Islay was the only student left. Mat tried to hold back but Islay made him go. The day was going to be interesting. She was supposed to have end of year tests for her subjects but she was well known for being competent, she would surely be allowed to do the tests in the summer.
