When the Volturi attack, Hermione and Bella stand together. Both sides shocked by the others' secret lives, battles are fought and friendships are made.
oof, i wrote this when i was eleven
Hermione rubbed her eyes sleepily. There was a loud tap tap tap coming from the windows, and she looked over to see a snowy white owl. The first thing she realized was that Draco was not in bed with her, but soon after, she recognized the tapping as Hedwig the Second. Hedwig flew in as soon as she opened the window and perched on her newly furnished desk, holding her leg out. Hermione untied the large parcel and gave her an owl treat. After gobbling it down, she left, soaring through the grey sky.
Inside the parcel was a letter, a book, and a picture of Harry and Ginny embracing, their hands on Ginny's pregnant belly. She smiled at the picture and picked up the letter.
Dear Hermione,
We're glad for you, but I'm not going to sugarcoat it; Ron's fuming. Don't pay attention to him, he's a prat.
Anyways, Harry and I are doing very well. We're all very excited for a baby, especially Teddy. He's elated at the thought of a new friend, you know how lonely he gets. I wrote this letter to ask you questions, though, not to tell you my personal life. How are you adjusting? Is Draco getting any better? And how's your cousin?
Mione, we really miss you. Harry bought this book from Flourish and Blotts, saying you probably don't have it, but I'm not sure. If you do, it is always refundable.
Lots of Love, Ginny Potter
Ps, Harry says hi, and he also says we're visiting soon, maybe in a week?
Hermione studied the book cover. It read, America for English Witches and Wizards. She flipped through the pages, appreciating the beautiful pictures and important information. She didn't have this book. She pulled out a quill and parchment and started writing.
Dear Ginny,
Thanks for the parcel. I love the book, and no, I don't have it. It'll be really helpful. We are adjusting pretty well. Draco's still having nightmares, but I hope they'll decrease if we give it time. We're not looking for a miracle, just an improvement.
I hope to see you both soon. Bring Teddy?
Love, Hermione Malfoy
Not long after she gave the letter to Finn, she headed downstairs. She found Draco studying a book very closely.
"Good morning, love," he said.
"Good morning," she replied.
"Mmm," he mumbled. "Ivy."
There was a loud crack and Ivy appeared. "Yes master?" she asked, bowing.
"Some breakfast for the both of us. Please," he added hastily.
"Of course, Master Malfoy."
Hermione grinned at him
"So, uh, I'm reading this book," Draco slid it over the table as Ivy reappeared with platefuls of food. "And I came across some interesting information. The original vampires."
"Yes?"
"Well, it says that these vampires are often unnaturally beautiful, pale, fast, and stronger than anything in this world. Does that sound familiar?"
"No," Hermione frowned.
"I meant your cousin," Draco said bluntly. "They're unnaturally pale. Unnaturally beautiful. Their eyes are a strange golden colour."
"Vampires have red eyes, Draco."
"Maybe they're wearing contacts, or figured out a way to change their eye colour. Maybe their weird vampire genetics only allow them to have golden."
"I think you're thinking too hard about this," Hermione shook her head, taking a sip of her morning coffee. "I doubt the Cullens are vampires, Draco."
"But," he said desperately. "It's just... this feeling... I think they're vampies, Hermione. You have to believe me."
