-Draco Malfoy-

I race down the freeway, trying to get to the hospital as quick as I can. Hermione is laying in the back seat, unconscious and bleeding.

I step on the breaks harder, hitting 90 miles an hour.

In just a minute or two I make it to the hospital. I slam open my car doors and grab Hermione from the back seat of my car.

As I run into the hospital I start yelling for help.

"HELP GET MY FIANCÉE A DOCTOR NOW!!" I growl as I kick open the glass doors to the hospital. Screams are heard but I block them out, running to the middle of the room.

The ladies at the front desks gasp and one of them run around the counter to me.

"Come with me! Tell me what happened!" She says, running out of the room. I run with her and explain how I founded her being beaten by my cousin while she was at work. I was bringing her lunch. She was already unconscious when I got there but there was a lot of blood.

We go into the nearest room and I'm told to lay her on the bed, so I do. I lay her down on the bed and instantly the room is flooded with nurses and at least two doctors.

"Sir I'm going to need you to please leave the room." One of the nurses come up to me but I snarl at her.

"No way in hell I'm leaving this room! I've almost lost her once already! I'm here to make sure it doesn't happen again!" I growl at the nurse. Her face flushed of all color and she nods. I walk over to the bed where everyone is crowded. Hermione clothes are now all taken off besides her bra and under wear. There are bruises scattered all over her body.

Blue, purple, black, even greenish marks coat her golden skin. Tears start to gather in my eyes as I let everything sink in.

I wasn't there for my baby...I wasn't there to protect her. She could be dead because I wasn't there to protect her. She could be dead because of me. Because I wasn't a good enough boyfriend for her.

"Sir-" I cut out the male voice as I continue to stair at her as the nurses inject her with needles and wipe her skin clean on blood.

My arm is grabbed and pulled away from the bed. I stumble back and I feel warm tears fall from my blurred eyes.

"Sir we need to talk" The doctor says. I disconnect my gaze from Hermione and turn to look at the man in front of me.

"Please tell me she isn't dead...please" I whisper, my heart beating at a thousand miles per-hour. I don't know what I would do if I lost her. I don't know what would happen.

"She should be ok but we might have to undergo surgery. It seems that she might have some internal bleeding from the blows to her abdomen." He pauses, his eyes flicker back to the bed where Hermione lays. "She's in critical condition but if you let us do our jobs we can save her. We can save them both."

I perk up as he says the last sentence. "What?" I ask.

"Your fiancée is showing signs of being pregnant. But we aren't sure. We have to conduct some tests before we can tell you for sure."

I nod and gulp, looking back to her. "Just save her...both of them."

-A few hours later-

"Mr. Malfoy." Our nurse calls for me. I stand up instantly from my seat. They made me wait out in the waiting room because I started to get on edge and I started to shout at everyone in the room.

I stare at the nurse and she nods, nodding towards the hallway leading to the ER rooms.

I follow her to Hermiones room, well I actually go in front of her.

Once I go to the room I see a gown over her body and the covers are up to her waist. There are black and blue bruises on her cheek bones and her right eyes is black and swollen. Her left one is just swollen. Her lip is busted and swollen also. Finally her brown curly hair is matted with her own blood, causing some of it to be darker then the rest.

"The doctor will be in, in a couple of minutes to update you on her health." I nod and walk towards the seat next to her bed. I sit in the chair and grab her cold, lifeless hand.

"Please be ok." I look to her stomach and a small smile forces it's way on to my lips. "Both of you."
