Am I Wrong?

Chapter 18

After I heard that the surgery went well I just about died inside. I was so thankful that he made it. They said as soon as he wakes up we can go in. I felt bad telling Cameron that he couldn't come in the room with us but he obviously understood. Through this whole thing he has been so supportive. I just cried and cried and cried into his chest and he just rubbed my head and whispered "Everything is gonna be alright babe." And he would repeat that which made me cry more. They were tears of joy. Not upset tears just that I'm so thankful he's alive.

They let us in to see him about an hour after the surgery. We rushed in as soon as we got to the room. I was standing behind Evan and had my hands on his shoulders while my dad started to wake up. Evan is still young so he's not sure exactly what happened so were all trying to help everyone.

"Hey guys" Dad said with a slight smile.

We all start crying and my mom just grabs his hand and kisses it a million times and then my dad pulls us all into a big group hug.

The hospital said that he could leave tomorrow morning. It is 10:30 today so Cameron and I are just gonna spend the day here. Well I told Cameron to go home and visit his family then he is gonna pick me up at my family's house tomorrow morning. We are flying straight to Chicago and we will be at the hotel a few hours before everyone else but it doesn't really matter.

We end up spending the next hour messing around at the hospital then my mom tells me and Tyler to take everyone home. Cameron took the rental car with him so that we can just return it tomorrow and not have to worry about paying for our cars to stay at the airport.

We take everyone home and we all catch up on much needed sleep. I heard my door open and I saw Evan. He was in some basketball shorts and a tank top. It was about 1:30 now so I assumed that he was hungry and I had slept for about an hour so I got up to make him food. When I start to walk past him to go downstairs he hugs my waist. "I missed you Lena."

"Aww Evan I missed you too Buddy!"

"I love you."

"I love you too." I say as I pick him up and kiss him right on the lips. He still does the little baby kisses which are so cute.

I make him Mac N Cheese. And I share some with him then we decide to watch a movie. We start to watch Cars 2 since that's like "our" movie. I hear footsteps coming downstairs as Tyler walks into the living room.

"Hey guys I'm gonna go drop off some stuff for mom at the hospital. I'll be back in a few hours so do you want me to pick up dinner?" He says

"Uh sure. Just ask Rob what he wants cuz I don't care."

"Okay love you guys."

"Love you" Me and Evan say at the same time. Evan and I fall asleep during the movie and he is siting in my lap like a little baby. We are so cute. I have missed this so much.

I wake up around 6 and see that Tyler is home and the food is in the fridge. He got Chipotle. This is the shit I need right now.

I start to pack anything I brought and I am still so tired I go to bed around 10:30. Our flight leaves at 10 tomorrow so I'm gonna stop by the hospital with Cameron around 8 to say goodbye.

Around midnight I hear my door open. I am a light sleeper. I turn to see Evan and he is crying. I run to him and pick him up.

"What wrong buddy?"

"I don't want you to leave tomorrow.."

"Aww Evan I will be back before you know it."

"But that's too long."

"What if you got to come with me for a few days?"

"Really??!? His face lights up and he smiles.

"Yeah but you would have to be a really big boy and come with me and Cameron for a few days. Mommy and Daddy can't just come to pick you up."

"Okay!!! Elena I want to go! please!!?"

"Let me call and ask Cameron. but I think Rob should come too because then when you fly back you will be with him."

"Okay let's go ask him."

We walk into Robs room and he is wide awake playing x-box.

"Hey do you want to come to Chicago with me and Evan for a few days?"

"Hell yes!!"

"Watch ur language!!" I say laughing. "Okay well you guys need to pack and I'll go ask Cameron and mom and Dad."

I call Cameron and he says that yeah they can come we just need to book another room which isn't that hard.

I call Mom and Dad. They give me a long speech but I don't mind. They say yes but give me tons of rules and everything. The boys will be flying to LAX from Chicago without an adult so that's the part that makes me nervous.

I go help Evan pack and when were finished it is 2:30 so I have him come sleep with me since we have to wakeup in 4 hours.

4 hours goes by way too fast and I hear my alarm.

Cameron picks us up and we are ready to go. We say goodbye to Ty then drive to the hospital and say goodbye to my parents.

Next thing I know we are on the plane and I sit with Rob so that Cameron and Evan could bond. They are in the 2 seats in front of us so I could hear them. Cameron is so good with kids. It definitely makes him 10x hotter.

When we land we grab our luggage and find our driver then head to the hotel.

It is 3 o'clock Chicago time. My time is so jacked up right now. All this traveling is throwing me off.

Everyone will be here at 9 tonight so we have the rest of the day to ourselves.

Cameron offers to take the boys bowling so I could catch up on some sleep. I thankfully agree. I mean I didn't sleep on the plane just because Rob was talking the whole time.

I fall asleep for a while then get up to shower and then I hear the door open. We just got 2 conjoined hotel rooms. One for Evan and Rob and then me and Cameron. But we leave the door open because I don't trust those two with their own room.

All of them walk in laughing and I walk up and ask Evan if he had fun. He responded by saying "Yeah it was the awesomest time ever!" we all laugh and sit on the bed. They should be here any minute I say aloud. Rob and Evan have only met Nash, Taylor, and Carter but I think they will like everyone else.

I hear a knock on the door and see everyone standing there.

"WE'RE HERE!!!" They all shout and we join in a big group hug.
