Am I Wrong?

Chapter 30

June 22

When I wake up I roll over on my bed but Cameron isn't there. I go to the bathroom and wash my face then brush my teeth then go downstairs. Today we don't have any plans so I was planning on going to the mall with a few of my friends. I get to the kitchen and see him making a smoothie. His back muscles. They are so perfect. His shorts are riding super low on his hips and his hair is perfectly messy. When i look to my left i see Hayes in the living room playing X-box. I kiss Cameron on the cheek and he says, "Good morning beautiful." those words alone just make my stomach flip a billion times. I smile and say good morning then walk to the couch and go on twittter. I see a few sweet tweets and favorite them then follow some accounts. I love watching the fans reactions to one retweet or follow. It's truly amazing how one little guesture online could make someones day.

I texted three of my friends and we're going to meet at the mall at 2:30. It's 1:55 right now so I decide to get ready since the mall is less than 10 minutes from here.

I put on a marroon dress from Brandy Melville with my black bando. I put on my black high top converse and my black watch. I just leave my hair natural and put on some eyeliner and mascara. I grab my small black purse from Forever 21 and my keys then I head downstairs. I kiss Cameron good bye and say bye to Hayes then head to my car. In the parking lot I see a man that is a litle scary. He is wearing a black hoodie and dark jeans down to his knees. As I get closer to my car I see him walking towards me, so I start to walk a bit faster. When i reach my car I unlock it and right before I open the door I see a hand slam down on my car. I turn around very quickly and back away slowly.

"Who are you and what do you want?"

"Well your little boyfriend Cameron, owes me some money."

"Umm are you sure that it's the right Cameron."

"Yup. And if he wants his girlfriend to stay safe then he will pay up."

"What exactly does is this money paying for?"

"He hit my car and needs to pay to fix it. "

"Well I'll text him and let him know your here." I say reaching into my purse to grab my pepper spray. I know this may be a little dramatic but he is a pretty scary man and my heart is racing. He is waiting. I push down the hook and pull it out and it sprays right into his eyes. He immediately screams in pain and tries to wipe his eyes. I get in my car as fast as I can and start the engine. The man is still trying to get the spray out of his eyes as I pull out but I call Cameron through my car speaker.

"Cam there is a man in the parking lot and he said that if You want me to be safe then you need to give him money to fix his car that you hit or something. I sprayed him with pepper spray and he might try to come up so don't open the door for anyone." I say rambling extremely fast trying to take in everything that just happened.

"Elena, slow down. I didn't hit anyone's car so I don't know what he's talking about. And you pepper sprayed him?"

"Yeah I got pepper spray for Christmas one year and always keep it in my purse. It seemed like the right time to use it."

"Okay well I'm just so glad that your safe. Are you still going to the mall or do you want to come back and I'll come wait outside for you."

"I'm gonna go to the mall for a few hours and try to calm down then I'll text you when I come back. Could you maybe get Tyler to come over just so you and Hayes don't have to be alone if that guy comes up?"

"Yeah I'll text him right now. I love you Elena."

"Love you too Babe." I say before hanging up and turning onto a street. I put on the new 5SOS EP and try to calm my nerves. I look in my mirror to see if anyone is following me but I don't see anyone so I calm down a little more.

I park right next to my friend Liz and when we get out I run and hug her. I haven't seen her or any of the other girls since the 2nd to last day of school.

When everyone arrives we start off with H and M then roam around and catch up with each other. We stop at Wetzels Pretzels and I get cinnamon pretzel bites and a lemonade.

We walk around for a bit longer then say goodbye. As I drive home I text Cameron and say that I'm turning on Blue Jay Ave. which is close to the apartment so he has enough time to come out. Of course I'm concerned with his safety but he is a man and has been in more fights than I'll ever be so he should be okay.

When I turn into the parking lot I see the face I fell in love with. His brown hair all messy and his adidas sweats fitting perfectly.

Damn I really love this boy.
