Chapter 3

/ Kaiden's pov /

Beep... Beep... Beep

The beeping sound of the heart monitor that was connected to Diana made me nervous.

My beautiful mate had been unconscious for 2 days now and i was officially getting crazy. I hadn't slept or eaten ever since she got in the hospital.
London , my beta , had attempted to get me to eat but I just couldn't. not without my mate conscious.

My pack doctor was still researching what exactly happened to her. That only made me more nervous.

I groaned in frustration and went with my hand trough my hair. I felt miserable without my mate.

Suddenly the pack doctor came in.
"Good evening alpha. How are you doing?" He asked and sat in the chair besides me.
"Miserable" I answered and sighed.
"Well I have some good news then" he started and I immediately sat up straight.

"First of all, the cause of her being asleep so long is that she has been overly exhausted for the past few years and probably didn't have good night rest" the doctor explained.
"And what happened to her is that she has been hit in her stomach really hard which caused an internal bleeding. We fixed the internal bleeding but she will have some trouble walking for a while because of the hard impact. The last thing is that she is very under-weight. I assume that in her last pack she didn't get much food. I recommend you to talk to her about what happened in her old pack and help her with gaining weight and supporting her with walking" he explained and I sighed in relief.

"When will she wake up?" I asked.
"She can wake up at any moment now" he said and patted my shoulder.
"Thank you for your help" I said with a relieved smile.
"Of course, Alpha" he said with a smile before leaving the room.

I sighed and took Diana's hand in mine. I smiled at her peaceful face. She looked beautiful. He beautiful brown hair , her pale skin and her long lashes that hugged her cheeks.

"What did they do to you in that pack?...." I whispered and sighed.

/ Diana's pov , 3 hours later /

All I could see was black. I heard some vague noises around me but couldn't really make anything out of it.

My body felt heavy , like I couldn't move it. I tried moving my arm but I couldn't. It was really weird.

The noises around me started getting louder. I could now hear a beeping sound. Not after long I felt a hand in mine. My body felt lighter. I tried moving my hand and it worked. I squeezed the persons hand and heard the person starting to talk.

"I'm here. I'm with you sweetheart" the voice made my heart beat a little faster and you could hear the beep getting faster.

I then squeezed again in the hand and opened my eyes.

I was met with white light which made me close my eyes again almost immediately. After a moment I opened my eyes again. My eyes adjusted to the light quite fast and when they did I saw the most gorgeous face ever.

I heard my wolf whimpering on the inside , wanting to touch our mate.
"Kaiden.." I whimpered and my eyes filled with tears.

"Hey Honey , it's okay I'm here" he said and carefully wrapped his arms around my waist. I pushed my face into his neck and breathed in his amazing scent. My wolf purred in content and so did I when he kissed the top of my head.

"You have no idea how much of a hell it was without you with me" he whispered to me. I smiled.
"How long was I out?" I asked and looked up at his handsome face.
"Two and a half day" he said with a frown.
