Chapter 5

/ Kaiden's pov /

I was so nervous for my date with Diana. To be honest, this was all new to me too. I have never had any kind of romantic affection with a girl before. I wanted to wait for my mate , and now that I found her I was determined to make all our firsts perfect.

I looked at myself in the mirror one more time before walking out of the guest room. I let Diana take our room to get ready and I took the guest room so she had more privacy. I went with my hand trough my hair one last time and then took off towards Diana.

I knocked on the door and when she opened it my eyes widened. She looked beautiful. Her hair was down and curled. She was wearing a red dress with a low cut v-neck which showed a bit of cleavage. I swallowed and tried not to stare too much at her body.

"You look gorgeous" I said and kissed her cheek. She blushed and smiled.
"Thank you , so do you... well I mean handsome" she said and I chuckled.
I took her hand in mine and started leading her to my car.

"So... Where are you taking me?" She asked after we got in the car.
"There is this restaurant downtown that my parents take me to every year" I said and laid my hand on her knee.
"Is it okay if I do this?" I asked when I heard her take in a deep breath.
"Yes , it's just so much sparkles" she said and smiled at me.
"Feels great ,right?" I said and she nodded. I smiled and kept on driving.

We soon got at the restaurant. The owners have been friends with my parents since forever so they always know that when I come that me and my family have the best table.

I helped Diana out of the car and wrapped my arm around her waist. Like that we walked inside together.
"Reservation for black" I said to the waiter. He looked at a list and led us to a table that was almost private from the others. I helped Diana in her chair and then sat in mine across from her. She looked around with amaze in her eyes.

"You like it?" I asked with a smile.
"Yes , I have never been to a restaurant before" she said with a shy smile.
Not long after a waiter came with the menu cart. We looked it trough and I saw Diana was struggling.
"Everything okay sweetheart?" I asked.
"No... I don't know anything that's on here" she said and pouted a bit. I chuckled and moved my chair to sit besides her.

I started explaining her what everything was and eventually she chose something with chicken and a salad. I have a feeling she likes chicken.

"Kaiden! Oh honey it's nice to see you again. How are your parents" one of the owners Katherine came to us and hugged me. She was an elderly woman but still looked kinda young because of her werewolf genes.
"They're great Katherine" I said and hugged her back.
"who is this?" She said looking at Diana who's cheeks were covered with red.
"This is Diana , my mate" I stated proudly and took Diana's hand in mine.
"Oh honey that's great I'm so happy for you two. And she's so beautiful" she said smiling at Diana.
"Oh- how rude of me , I totally forgot to introduce myself. I'm Katherine , me and my husband have been friends with Kaiden's parents for so long now" she said with a smile and shook Diana's hand.

"Now it was great to meet you but I have to go back to work , I'll see you two around sometime soon" she said and kissed my head before walking away. I looked at Diana and she was frowning at me.
"Everything okay , sweetheart?" I asked in confusion.
"Why did she kiss you?" She asked , still frowning. I chuckled.
"She's like a second mother to me" I explained and gave her hand a squeeze.
"I don't like that she kissed" she said.
"Jealous are we?" I said with a chuckle.
"Shut up" She said with a small smile and her cheeks turning red.

Soon the food came and I could see Diana enjoyed it. She liked it so much that she finished the whole plate! I was so proud of her.

After we finished dinner I paid and led her back to my car.
"Are we going home?" She asked once we sat in the car.
"Not yet , I have a special place I want to show you" I said and smiled.
