Alpha Kaiden

Chapter 7

/ Diana's pov /

Before I knew it , Kaiden jumped out of his chair and towards the unknown man. His hands wrapped around the mans neck and he pressed him against the wall.

"Who the fuck do you think you are to disrespect my mate like that!" Kaiden spit in his face. His eyes turned black out of fury.
"Oh come in cousin , you know I was just joking" the man said with a smirk still evident on his face. This made Kaiden growl. After that Kaiden let go of him and his eyes turned back to it's beautiful green color. The man fell on the ground and started coughing.

"Don't you ever dare to disrespect my mate like that again or you won't get out of it with just strangle marks" he said and growled at the man. Kaiden walked over to me and pulled my hand in his. He started walking towards the door , pulling me with him.
"We'll continue this meeting some other time" he said and walked out of the door with me trailing behind him. He quickly led us to the car which we both got in and he quickly sped off. The whole way he didn't spoke a word to me and it made me upset.

Once the car was parked in front of our house he quickly got out and walked inside. I got out too and trailed behind him. He opened the door and slammed it in my face.

Maybe I did something to make him mad...

Or he really thinks I am a slut...

My mind started wondering off to thoughts about why he would act to me like that. My lip started to tremble and my eyes filled with tears. I turned around and started walking into the woods behind our house. My hearing could hear a sort of lake and I quickly ran to it. When I was there I sat besides it and let the tears silently roll down my face.

"I'm so stupid!" I yelled , mad at myself and threw a rock in the water.
"You're disgusting just like they always told you" I said to myself and looked at the water. I stood up and slowly walked into the water.
At that moment my mind was so blank that I forgot I couldn't swim. I walked deeper and deeper until I couldn't stand anymore and was supposed to swim , but I couldn't. I only now came to the realization of that and started panicking. I tried swimming back to the shore but I couldn't keep my head up. I kept going back under water. I started losing power and slowly went underwater before everything faded into black.

/ Kaiden's pov /

I'm such an asshole!

I shouldn't have reacted my anger on Diana. I was just pissed at Maxwell , my cousin. He has to keep doing things that cause fights or piss me off.

I sighed and went back outside looking for Diana but I couldn't find her. My eyebrows furrowed together in confusion.
I sniffed the air and smelled her in the forest. I immediately ran into the forest , following her scent. Eventually we came to a lake and what I found was horrible. My mate was in the water , drowning. I immediately sprinted into the water towards her. She kept sinking further and further underwater and I felt a pang in my chest. This was my fault. I kept on swimming towards her and pulled her up as soon as I reached her. I walked to the shore with her in my arms and as soon was we reached it I laid her down and kneeled down besides her. I started giving her mouth on mouth to get air into her lungs. She gave no reaction what so ever and I was getting frustrated.

"Come on baby , I love you I can't lose you" I whimpered and did it one more time. Her eyes opened and water came out of her mouth , I rolled her on her side so she wouldn't choke on the water. When all the water was gone I pulled her to my chest , hugging her tightly.

"I am so so sorry sweetheart , I was just frustrated and I never wanted you to do this. You have no idea how much I hate myself right no-" I was cut off by her lips pressing on mine.
"It's okay , I'm sorry too. My mind was just so foggy and I didn't notice that i went into the water" she said and blushed. I kissed her nose and smiled at her. She smiled back but then started shaking a bit.
"Are you cold?" I asked and she nodded.

I picked her up bridal style and sprinted towards our house. I went up the stairs and to our bathroom. I filled the bathtub with warm water and soap. I looked at her as she sat on the sink counter. She was visibly shaking.
"Do you need help taking off your clothes" I asked , which caused a deep blush to cover her cheeks. I smiled at her innocence.
"I won't look , I promise" she then nodded with a shy smile and I started undressing her. As promised I didn't look at her private parts. I didn't want to look at it before she wanted me to and was comfortable with it.

I helped her get in the bathtub and she sighed in content. I sat on the edge of the bathtub and smiled at her. Her body had disappeared underneath all the soap in the water.
"J-join me?" She said with a shy smile. My eyes went wide and I started to stutter.
"W-what? Are you sure? I-I don't wanna make you uncomfortable" I said and she smiled.
"I'm sure" she said and I nodded with a smile.

I quickly undressed , her turning her head cause she didn't want to invade my privacy, not that I would've mind if she did. I got in the bathtub behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist. She sat in between my legs and leaned her back against my chest. She visibly relaxed when I touched which made me smile.
"You feel any better?" I asked after awhile and she nodded. I smiled and kissed the top of her head.

We sat like that for another while , until Diana had fallen asleep. I didn't want to wake her because she looked so peaceful but I didn't want to invade her privacy by drying her and dressing her so I woke her up. She looked tired and I quickly got out of the tub and got dressed myself. I kissed her lips and then left the bathroom to let her change in private. After awhile she walked out of the room , dressed in one of her sweatpants and a shirt of mine. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her. She looked exhausted. I led her to the bed and laid her down. I tucked her in and then got in besides her. She snuggled closer to me and laid her head on my chest.

"Goodnight sweetheart" I said and kissed the top of her head. She smiled with eyes closed.
"Goodnight" she said back almost asleep.
"Oh and Kaiden.." she said after a few seconds. I hummed as an answer.
"I love you too" she said with a smile and after that fell almost immediately asleep.

My heart started beating faster and I couldn't control myself. She had heard it when I told it to her in the afternoon. I was so ecstatic that I pulled her even closer to me and snuggled my face into her neck , inhaling her delicious scent.
My wolf went wild inside me because of Diana's confession and I couldn't help but feel just as happy as he felt. My beautiful mate snuggled even closer to me and I groaned with a smile.

"You have no idea that you drive me crazy" I whispered before kissing the top of her head again and falling asleep as well.
