Alpha Kaiden

Chapter 6

/ Diana's pov /

"-I never understood why any of this happened to me , b-but I can't help but think I did something terrible to deserve this. M-maybe in a past life , I don't know" I said , tears rolling down my cheeks as I finished my story. Kaiden looked at me with his eyes filled with tears. Before I could say anything else he pulled me into a tight hug.

"I'm so so sorry for not being there earlier or not protecting you earlier" he said and kissed the top of my head. I looked up at him with a sad smile.
"You couldn't have changed it. It's not your fault" I said and cupped his cheek with one hand.

"You have no idea how strong the urge is to kill that pack" he said with a low growl. I chuckled a bit and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Thank you for not getting mad , or r-rejecting me" I said and kissed his cheek. He smiled sadly.
"I could never reject you , sweetheart" he said and gave me a soft kiss. I kissed back and smiled brightly at him. After awhile of just laying in his arms he started talking again.

"I think we should go back to sleep. It's the middle of the night and you look exhausted" he said and as if on cue I yawned. Kaiden chuckled and laid me back down. He pulled me to his chest and I sighed in content.

Soon i was off to my sleep world..

/ next morning /

To say I was exhausted when I woke up was an understatement. I guess last night took a toll on me. I rubbed my eyes tiredly and sat up. I looked at the empty spot besides me and only now noticed that Kaiden was gone. I started to panic a little. There was no note.

Maybe he left me after all.

My lip started trembling but before I could start crying the door was opened by no one other then Kaiden. I jumped out of the bed and wrapped my arms around his torso. I whimpered.

"I thought you left me" I said and sniffed.
"Oh honey, I was just making breakfast. You were sleeping so peaceful and I didn't wanna wake you up" he said and kissed my forehead.
"You know I wouldn't leave you" he said and smiled down at me. I nodded.
"I-I know but you were gone , a-and there was no note so I thought you might had left me" I said and hugged him even tighter.
"I could never leave you okay?" He said and nodded.

"Now let's go eat breakfast , I made you waffles" he said and smiled. He picked me up and carried me downstairs. He mostly did this because he wanted to hold me close but also because my legs still weren't 100% okay since I got out of the hospital. I mean they didn't hurt it's just that they get tired really fast.

In the kitchen he sat me down on a chair at the kitchen island. He gave me a plate with a waffle and some strawberries besides it. I kissed his cheek as a thank you and started eating. Not long after he joined me with his own waffles and started eating himself.

We ate in a comfortable silence but every once in a while he would glance up at me and gave me a heart warming smile that caused the butterflies to go wild in my stomach. My life has been so different since I met Kaiden. Different in a good way of course. I honestly don't know how many longer I would have survived if Kaiden didn't came along.

"Later this afternoon there will be a meeting with my beta and some other people, I was wondering if you would want to join me since you will be doing more things like that as a Luna" Kaiden said when we finished eating and walked back to our bedroom.
"I-I don't know , w-what if they won't like me?" I nervously spoke and sat down on the edge of our bed. Kaiden sat besides me and took my hands in his. He smiled at me.
"Believe me , they are going to adore you. Also phoebe is going to be there so you'll have someone you know already. And you also kinda know London my beta so you already know 3 people" he said which caused me to smile.
"Fine then" I said and wrapped my arms around his waist. He wrapped his arms around me too and I buried my face in his chest.
"I'm sorry for being so difficult" I said. He kissed the top of my head before speaking.
"Your not difficult. You went trough a lot and it takes awhile to get past that. I'm here for you and I won't push you to do things faster then you feel like doing" he said and I looked up at him with a smile.
