Bonnie sat on the edge of the bathtub, softly combing her hair. She was dressed in an elegant red suit, with black stilettos. It looked like she was getting ready for an important meeting, but she was not: it was simply a party at home! Next to her stood Jeni, wearing a 1940s dress. She was doing her hair too, imitating Jo Stafford's hairdo.

They had organised a party for the band to meet Bonnie's friend, John. Bonnie gave him a call right after Roger called Jeni to announce that Doug left Queen. He said that he would take his bass with him, so he could show them his bass playing. Brian was excited at the idea of meeting John, and his bandwates were too, obviously.

Jeni spread hairspray on her hair and looked at Bonnie, who was looking at herself in the mirror.

“What do you think of my hair?” she sighed.

“It's wonderful, as usual, Bon', don't worry about that!” Jeni answered honestly. “I can't wait to see Bri, I miss him.”

“I'm dying to see Roggie again! This guy is the cutest I've ever seen in my entire life! With his baby face and all!”

“I feel you. If Brian wasn't here, I think it wouldn't be impossible for me to fall for Roger! But of course, this isn't happening, because Brimi is mine!”

“You two are really cute!”

“Thank you!”

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Jeni walked out of the bathroom and crossed the corridor, before opening the door. A tall, thin man appeared. He had long wavy hair that were falling heavily on his shoulders, his nose was long and his mouth was thin. He was wearing a dark shirt, which he tucked in his jeans, tightened at his waist by a leather belt. He was blushing, carrying a bass case.

“Uh... Hello!” he said shyly. “Do you remember me?”

“Of course, John!”

Jeni giggled and kissed his cheek. She stepped aside and let him in. He looked all around him with curiosity, which touched Jeni. He looked like a scared puppy in a new home. She took his bass case and led him to the living room, where the table was covered with small bowls of crisps, peanuts, almonds and cherry tomatoes. She invited him to sit on the couch, and he did. She put his bass in a corner, telling him where she put it.

“It's been a while since the last time we met!” she exclaimed. “What happened in your life recently?”

“Oh, many things. I shortly played in a band, but I left it, because they didn't take it seriously. And I need a serious band, you see?”

“I understand what you mean. Don't worry, the members of Queen are serious!”

“I hope they are!”

They chuckled, and Jeni put her hands on her hips, smiling at her guest.

“Would you like something to drink?”

“Not now, thank you. I'm waiting for the others.”

“Alright! I'll go get Bonnie.”

He nodded and crossed his arms, as Jeni left the room. She walked through the corridor again, walking straight to the bathroom, where Bonnie was standing, fixing a lock of her hair. When she heard her friend coming in, she spun round and pouted.

“I hate it when my hair goes wild. Anyway! Who arrived?”

“John.”

“OH! You should've told me earlier!”

Bonnie shook her arms above her head and headed for the living room, where she found John, sitting on the couch. When he saw her, he stood up and pulled her into a hug, as she stroked his hair.
