This chapter is from Allmight's (Toshinori's) Point of view.
I sat nonchalantly in the teacher's lounge, feeling kind of guilty as I did. I had been practically unable to do anything for the students aside from giving them some advice. That was it. Nezu noticed my sudden change in mood and smiled comfortingly.
"Don't worry Allmight. Aizawa and the other pros can manage the kids. They're capable enough. Besides, we'll be beginning soon."
I nodded and grinned. I couldn't wait to see the students in action. They all had so much potential to become great heroes.
"Anyway, we should get going."Nezu stood up and the two of us left the lounge to go to the training area, where the CLIC devices had been promptly set up. Both Midnight and Cementoss were already waiting, along with Eraserhead. He looked rather frustrated, and his eyes were following Bakugo, who seemed to not be too thrilled about his current predicament. He grumbed, and was begrudgingly listening to Denki and Kirishima. I looked around for Midoriya, who had probably arrived to see off Uraraka. The two had quite a cute relationship, I must admit. Hopefully Midoriya hadn't told her about One For All.
Finally, after what seemed like forever, Nezu clapped his paws and called out for attention. Everyone was silent.
"Welcome, first years." He smiled, and his whiskers quivered. "Today is the day we officially begin Project CLIC. Selected students from both classes A and B, please step forward."
From class B, Neito Monoma, Yui Kodai, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, Ibara Shiozaki and Pony Tsunotori. From class A, Ochaco Uraraka, Katsuki Bakugo, Shouto Todoroki, Fumikage Tokoyami, and Eijjirou Kirishima.
The ten of them looked ecstatic. Well, actually only nine of them did. Bakugo shuffled uncomfortably, a frown on his face. I guess he thought there wouldn't be much combat involved.
He was going to soon learn how wrong he was.
I watched as each of the students were connected to the machine, and noticed how intensely Midoriya was observing the process. I wish I had spoken to him in the time we had before we were beginning the simulation. He seemed nervous, even though it wasn't his time yet. I recalled how Eraserhead had decided to select the students:
"We did not select the students at random, in spite of what I told my class. It was actually an analysis on each student's mental health. Thus, we selected students who are at their lowest points in their lives. The whole point of project CLIC isn't to make them stronger physically, but mentally. State of mind is just as important as state of body."
While I didn't particularly understand the reasons for selecting these specific students, I respected Eraserhead's views, and so I trusted his decisions.
"Alright students!" Nezu opened the door in the corner which lead to the screening rooms. Midnight and Cementoss guided the students to the central area where there were ten different screens, each one plain black. The students looked around in confusion, yet greeted recovery girl when they saw she was there as well.
"Umm.....Principal?" Ashido asked in confusion, scratching her pink hair thoughtfully.
"What are all these screens for?"
Nezu grinned. Recovery Girl handed him the mic and he announced:
"CLIC! Start!"
All the screens came to life, each showing different locations. I smiled as Nezu explained the process to the students. It was remarkable how much we could learn about each of students through this process. They were the future, and so increasing their mental strength was also instrumental."Also, we can communicate with them verbally as well." He pressed a button on the monitor.
"UA students," He began. Names popped up on each screen indicating which screen belonged to which student, and each of the students were placed in different environments.
"Welcome to project CLIC. Here is all the info you need to know-"
Suddenly, Nezu's voice simmered. He gave the monitor a look of confusion before trying again. It didn't work.
I had a bad feeling about this.
Eraserhead's eyes widened. "We have to shut the simulation down right now."
I nodded, and he, Midnight and I ran towards the machines in order to power them off.
But it didn't work.
My heart pounded out of my chest.
They were trapped. There was no way to get them out.
