CHAPTER 10: Investigation

(A/N): This chapter is from the perspective of Kaminari. And no, not the fake one who actively beat up Bakugo, THE REAL KAMINARI from outside of the simulation with Deku and Co. ok? Ok.
"I have an idea. I say we start by talking to everyone's parents." Midoriya proposed, laying out a sheet of chart paper with all of our names on it that Iida somehow conveniently had (because, of course he did).

"So. We'll split into five separate groups with around 2-5 people per group."

He grabbed a red pen and circled Yaorozu and Iida. "You two come from really reputable families. Because of that, I think you should be the ones to investigate Todoroki." The two of them nodded, their eyes filled with determination.

Next, Midoriya grabbed a black pen and circled Ojiro, Koda, Shoji and Sato.

"You guys need to investigate Tokoyami. You're pretty friendly with him, way more than any of us are. Plus Shoji's actually met Tokoyami's parents before, so I think this will work out."

"We'll do our best." Ojiro said.

Then, he grabbed a pink pen and circled Ashido and Tsuyu.

"You guys will handle Uraraka. I get the feeling that it won't be that difficult to get info out of her parents, but just in case I chose you two since you were her closest friends to give her mom and dad a reason to trust you." I noticed how he seemed a lot more emotional than before, his eyes filled with a semblance of sadness.

Finally, he circled me and himself in yellow.

"Kaminari and I will talk to Kacchan's parents."

Wait...WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING ME-

"BAKUGO'S MOM IS A BEAST! THERES NO WAY WED BE ABLE TO GET THROUGH TO HER!"
She'd practically destroy me and probably harm me more than her son ever could.

Jirou sighed. "You're basically the only person out of us aside from Midoriya who's been to his house. If anyone can handle this, you two can. So quit the drama. Remember, it was your idea to do something, right?"

She grinned, and that smile of hers left me flustered.

I smiled nervously. "Right. Sorry Midoriya, carry on."

Midoriya's serious face got a lot more relaxed as a tiny smile formed on his lips, and I couldn't help but feel relieved. When the situation called for it, he could be seriously intense.

"Alright. As for the rest of you-" he looked to Jirou, Mineta, Aoyama, Sero and Hagakure.
"-there's a reason why you guys weren't chosen. Your quirks are either perfect for stealth or way too attention seeking, which is just what we'll need when it comes to trying to figure out information strictly from UA. Your job is probably the most dangerous, so I get if you don't want to do it. Are you up for it?"

Almost everyone nodded aside from Mineta, who looked scared out of his mind. Yet Jirou gave him a decisive punch in the face, and he eventually agreed.

Midoriya nodded at all of us.

"Okay. The plan will be set in motion this Saturday."

"Aww man." I ruffled my hair impatiently.

"Are you seriously saying we have to wait that long? Today's Monday."

"We need to fix the best time, and with no school on Saturday that means we can explore around the UA campus and go out for as long as a day. With that being said, are there any more questions?"

The room was silent. Midoriya grinned.

"It's settled then. Now let's get ready to save our friends!"

                                           -.-

Everyone was leaving the room for lunch, but I stopped Jirou before leaving. There was some stuff I wanted to talk about.

"What's up?" She twirled her headphone jack in a relaxed matter, composed throughout this entire situation. For a second I completely forgot what I wanted to do.

Damn. She was really cute.

My face turned red.

"Well...I just wanted to thank you...for you know...." My blush subsided yet my nervousness remained, as I struggled to articulate the right words to say.

Jirou smiled warmly. "No problem. To be honest, I feel kind of guilty that I didn't help the others save Bakugo like I should've. So it felt like it was the right thing to do."

"Yeah. Totally." I tried my best to come across as relaxed as possible. I had no idea how she did it, but I guess that's one of the reasons I liked her so much.

"Anyway. So, uh- I was wondering if you and I could hang out at the mall on Friday. You know, to kinda lighten up the mood." I laughed nervously, hoping to god it wasn't too obvious.

Jirou arched an eyebrow and smiled playfully.

"Wait....are you asking me out on a date?"

Shit.

Welp. There you go. I'm doomed.

".....I guess you could call it that....."

She grinned.

"K. I'll meet you there at seven. See you." Within an instant she had left the room, leaving me to process what just happened.

Kyouka Jirou is going on a date with me.

"Fuck yeah!" I yelled, punching my fist in the air.

I AM NO MORE A LONELY TEENAGE VIRGIN! At least, I won't be for any longer.

With that I ran up to join my other classmates, feeling the happiness kick in for the rest of the day.

(A/N): MEEP MEEP guess who wrote another light-hearted chapter because whyyyyy not???? Honestly I think I might spend a couple of chapters just focusing on these characters instead of Bakugo and Nine for a whole bunch of reasons, but mostly because things are only going to get even shittier for explodo-boi unfortunately. So until then, enjoy some investigation from the rest of Class 1-A!
