I woke up and stretched, almost immediately getting ready. After a pretty fun date with Jirou (even though I'm still a virgin; and we didn't even kiss) I was super pumped up for today.

We were finally going to help the others.

I checked my phone to see if I had gotten any texts. Sure enough, Midoriya had messaged us all, asking that we meet him outside the dorms at 10:30 AM.I looked at the clock nervously, but sighed with relief when I saw that it was only 10:00 AM.

Eh. I guess being a bit earlier wouldn't be that big of a deal. I slung my backpack on my shoulder and headed out, headphones in my ears, listening to Callum Scott's cover of Dancing on my own.

What can I say? I have a soft spot for love ballads, even if they're angsty.

As soon as I opened the door, I saw Sero was out too. It seemed like he was also going down.

"What's up Denki?" He grinned, wiggling his eyebrows knowingly.

"How was your date with Jirou?"

I shrugged my shoulders and grinned as the two of us walked down the apartment stairs.

"Pretty great."

"So you guys kissed then?"

"Uh- no. Jirou's not the type of girl to kiss a guy on her first date with him. Wait a minute..."

I stared at him accusingly. "You seriously think I just went out with her because of her body?"

His eyes widened and he laughed nervously. "No. I just thought- you know- you're a more fast-paced kind of guy."

"Nah. I like to take it slow." I sighed. I couldn't believe my best friend thought I was THAT shallow. In all fairness though, I guess it's kind of my fault too. That's what I get for hanging around Mineta. Speaking of Mineta, seems like he's the lone pervert now. Good for him I guess.

"Anyway...." I tried to change the subject. "You guys have it pretty rough, huh? Good luck trying to get info from UA."

"Yeah." He laughed. "Not to worry, though. We all met up last night and devised a strategy. It's pretty risky, but I think it just might work. Besides," His face turned serious. "Our friends are out there doing their best to survive. The least we can do is fight for them."

I nodded. "It really feels weird without them around, huh?"

"Yeah."

The rest of the walk down was filled with an aching silence. No matter how much we tried to move on with our lives, we could never escape the memories of our classmates. Everything felt so weird without Bakugo's constant aggression. Everything felt so weird without Kirishima's optimistic attitude.

I just wanted my friends back.

-.-

"Sero! Kaminari! Didn't expect you guys to be here so early!" Midoriya called out to us, running up as soon as he saw us.

"Midoriya?" The two of us looked at him, perplexed. "You're also here early?"

He blushed. "Well, um...actually..." He scratched his head, embarrassed.

"I've been training here since 5 AM. I know it's kind of selfish for me to do that...." He looked down sheepishly.

"It's just that I couldn't really sleep. And training seems to always clear my mind." He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, staying silent for a fragment of a moment. Then he looked up, a smile back on his face, and said:
