Did Irene know?

A part of her always did.

She came back that following summer only to find that the girl she promised to marry had moved away.

And they never saw each other again.

She didn't even hear from or about her again.

Not until she heard Seulgi's first mix on the radio.

Did she wonder if it was the same Seulgi she met ages ago?

She couldn't remember her last name. But when she saw a picture of the increasingly rising to fame singer/producer, there was a part of her that told her it was her.

The girl who's stolen her heart.

And forgot to even let her know.

Didn't even bother returning it to her.

But Seulgi was a star, how could Irene even dare and dream but reach her?

She held her once, but time had passed.

Time had changed.

And she had to move on.

That's why Irene dated.

That's how she ended up being with Mark.

Mark who was always sweet when she's around, who would be dependable on dates, on anniversary and gifts, who was a hard worker and beloved by her parents.

Even though she knew something was missing.

More than the fact that he and Jennie hated each other.

And that he kept messing with the gummy smiled girl head's when it came to competitions - he was incredibly competitive, he hated to lose.

But Irene could feel, their relationship was convenient.

Safe and secure.

A sure thing.

And Seulgi was busy chasing away fame and fortune... and apparently women.

To try and chose Seulgi would meant taking great risks.

And what if she didn't even remember her?

Yes, Seulgi was a shooting star Irene wished upon once.

She made her wish come true, if only very briefly, and then it was time to go.

Still Irene knew she loved her.

And she never did stop loving her.

It was so silly, so stupid to think. They knew each other for three weeks...

...but it felt like they've known each other for lifetimes.

So when Jennie told her about getting the Seulgi Kang as the DJ for her wedding - and apparently Seulgi was a good friend of hers, how did she not know this any sooner? - Irene was off to the moon.
