her silence moaned into darkness
as her lips bled
staccato lyrics
'
her courage slipped into
endless pools of lustrous tears
'
her sacrifices
knew no limits,
but they were mixed into
her mirthless laughter
'
her trepidation was
seen as her weakness,
mocked until her smile
collapsed into ellipses
'
but her mystic soul
brightened the more she
moved on, collecting
broken puzzles
to fix the big picture
'
her smile...
was worth capturing into the
frame;
as her lips knew
the burdens it carried.
