Bilal....I parked in front of my parents house, and opened the door for my beautiful zawjeey, and took her soft hand in mine, and we went in together.
"Salamu alaikum"
We said in unison.
"Wa alaikumussalam."
My sisters answered. They were so happy to see us because this is the first time am bringing my wife to see them.
They hugged her happily and led her in, while i followed behind then, watching how Yusrah's hips sway. Ohhh how much i love it!!
"Where is mum?"
I asked mashukhat, who was trying to block my wife's ears with her chatters.
"Ohhh mum is upstairs in her room, and Dad is with her i guess. Lemme inform them you are here"
And she scampered upstairs.
I went closer to Yusrah and kissed her.
Hey! What if someone see us?"
"Ohhh i just missed your lips"
I said shrugging and went back to my seat, which was beside her's, a mischievous smirk on my face.
Mum and dad came down with mashukhat behind them.
Yusrah immediately dropped down on her knees, as they sat on their seats.
After greetings. I looked up to notice the frown mum had on her face, and the way she looks at Yusrah.
I wonder why mum will not just let everything go and accept Yusrah. When i first brought her to her, before our marriage, i thought she have forgotten everything, but seems like i was wrong.
"Uhmm...mum, dad, we are leaving for London tomorrow Inshaa Allah"
I announced.
"With who?"
I looked up to look at mum.
"With Yusrah"
I replied.
She hissed and said,
"You are going nowhere with her. She will stay here in this house. She will stay in your room, upstairs, near my own. If you go with her she will just be a distraction to you."
Mum Said, scoffing.
I looked at dad, waiting for him to say something, and he did.
"Haba Fateemah, how can she she be a distraction to him? I thought he married her so he could concentrate more on his work, and not fall into the trap of zinah. And you are quite sure he wont be back for almost a year, because he work there, so how do you expect him to stay alone without her? and if he will not go with her, then what is the need for marrying?"
"Alhaji, please let me be. You always stop me from making my son do what i want. I wanted him to marry zarah but you objected, and now you are coming up with this. Its final, he will not go with her!!"
Mummy stood up and sauntered upstairs, leaving me with a burning heart. How could she do this to me?!
"Bilal kayi hakuri. You see your mum is angry right now, what she did is not right, but you have to obey her. I will send your wife over to you, in just a short time. May Allah bless you. And you Yusrah, don't you worry about anything OK?"
Yusrah nodded her head, forcing a smile but i didn't missed the glint of tears in her eyes, which she bravely fought back.
Dad went upstairs and left us with my sisters and wife.
