After three months....Today, been Sunday, we both woke up late.
"Sweetheart, get up let me help you perform ablution".
She opened her eyes and i picked her up and helped her perform ablution, did mine and came out with her in my arms.
I spread the prayer rugs and led us in prayer. After i did salam, i turned to face her, holding her hands as i recite azkarul subah (Morning supplications) audibly, while she did hers silently, moving only her lips.
After that i bathe her and lay her on my body, feeding her a bar of chocolate.
She suddenly cupped her hand on her mouth and ran into the toilet. I followed her and rubbed her back as she vomited.
After she finished, i washed her face and leaned her on my body, before scooping her in my arm and dropped her on the bed.
"Your temperature is very high".
I said worriedly, feeling her forehead and neck with the back of my hand.
She closed her eyes as she vomited again all over my body and on the bed.
"Sorry, oh, now don't cry, i will take you to the hospital, it must be malaria".
I said, kissing her lips, not minding that she just puked.
I cleaned everywhere and changed her clothes into a green gown and put on her khimaar, closed our house and went with her in my car to Valla Hospital which was along Bank road.
After the nurse took her blood sample and urine, she went away and left us nervous.
After what seems like forever, she came out and was smiling ever so broadly.
"The doctor wants to see you".
I nodded, patted Yusrah and followed the nurse into the doctor's office. He is our family doctor.
"Please sit, Mr.Bilal".
I sat down and looked at him curiously.
"Uhmm...Bilal, congratulations, again. Its good news, your wife is three months pregnant".
Sub han Allah!!
I dropped on my knees and and immediately my forehead touched the floor in prostration.
"Thank you so much doctor, it sure is good news!!".
"Yes it is. And i see Yusrah has improved a lot. Does she talk?".
"No, she didn't utter a word up till now".
"Don't worry, she will get better by Allah's will. Take very good care of her. Be very careful, make sure she rests a lot and eat healthy, always make her happy. Congratulations once again!"
I hugged him and shook hands with him before going out, not after i dropped a bundle of one thousand naira notes on his desk.
I met her exactly in the position i left her.
"Lets go baby".
I said, with a goofy smile.
She looked at me with a confused expression and took my hand.
I hugged her shoulders as we walked to the parking lot, sat her down and drove out.
I drove straight to a large shopping mall, closed the door and walked in with her.
I picked many chocolates, candies, sweets and biscuits for her.
After they packaged them, we went out and i drove to her parent's home.
