CHAPTER 1: Our Yusrah

Once upon the 21st century, there lived a girl; Yusrah. Yusrah is the daughter of Malam Salisu, who happened to be an Islamic scholar in the Nothern part of Nigeria, specifically Yola of Adamawa State.

Yusrah belongs to a family of ten; five girls, three boys and she is the fifth child.

Eighteen years old Yusrah is a beautiful lady; her melanin is what added more spices to her good looks; the girl is ebony black, and again she is tall, slim, with a long, pointed nose which stand proudly on her well defined face.

Her good looks and charms are what attracts men to her, like magnets, who are always ready to spoil her up with money, adding more fuel to the raging fire of her dreams.

Yusrah have a strong desire of marrying a rich husband. Growing up in a poor family, she never wanted to marry a poor husband, she want to live a high, classy life. As she always say; A beautiful woman belongs to a palace.

She recently finished her secondary school education but could not move further to tertiary level because her parents could not afford to sponsor her. You can already imagine how a family of ten survive in this era of hardship and recession.

Her eldest brother, Aminu, is a primary school teacher but the salary is not decent, and he have three kids and his wife to fend for.

The Salisu family are a decent one, her father, being a good Islamic scholar, raised up his children with good morals. He makes sure he provides his family with their needs with the little he have. He is a very strict father who wants nothing but the best out of his children.

But Yusrah is always different from her siblings. She wears tight clothes, which exposes her endowed body. She never fails to show off what she got. About men, Yusrah got a handful. Her father, though a very strict man, doesn't want to force her into doing things, she is his favourite daughter because she bears the name of his mother, and that was always her charms against his fixed principles, which mostly work on his other children.

She always manages to get money from her jick and jacks boyfriends, buy clothes and makeup things. Simply put; that girl is a gold digger.

Yusrah have many friends, most are girls any good father wouldn't want his daughter to be with, but among them, one is different. She is Aisha.

Aisha is Yusrah's bossom friend from childhood. She is a good girl from a very good background. Despite the fact that her family's wealth is no better than Yusrah's, maybe even worse, Aisha doesn't care about worldly things. Her words are always against Yusrah's behaviours, which is one huge difference between the two friends.

It is always a wonder how their relationship keeps going, despite the fact that they are two different people with nothing in common.
