Yusrah...
I woke up in the arms of my love. I kissed his lips and we went down the bed and performed our daily morning routine.
From all indications, his mum never loved me, i don't know how i will stay with her under the same roof, without my Bilal.
I weakly made breakfast and served it on a tray.
We ate silently, already missing each other.
He helped me pack my clothes and other things i will need, and packed his own.
I drag my suitcases to the car and put it in the trunk. Been Sunday, i was free so i have all day to settle in the house before Monday, my hectic lectures day.
We silently drove to his parents home and his sisters rushed and helped me with the suitcases.
He held my hands as we entered the sitting room. His mum was sitting on her sofa, watching news.
I dropped on my knees and greeted her but received no reply. She only replied the greeting of her son, completely ignoring my presence, which made me feel sorry for myself.
"Mom am leaving"
"Toh my dear son, i wish you a safe flight."
She said, kissing his forehead and blessing him.
I looked up at him, fighting back the tears that were threatening my eyes. It hurt so bad to see him leave.
I walked him to his car with his sisters. After saying goodbyes, they went back in, leaving the two of us there.
I looked down at my hands as the tears flows freely from my eyes, rolling down to my chin.
"Stop crying my love. Everything will be fine. No matter what mom do or say, please ignore her. Treat her the way you will treat your own mum, cos she is my best person in this world.
I am so sad to leave you but i have no option. Always remember that you occupy a great space in my heart."
I sobbed and said through cracking voice;
"Please take very good care of yourself for me"
"I will, my love. Now smile for me"
I couldn't help it, and flashed him my best dimpled smile. He hugged me, pressing me against his chest. I could feel his heart beat rhyming with my own.
We broke the hug and he got into his car. He will drive it to the airport and the home chauffeur will drive it back.
I waved at him as he drove out, missing his smile, his cologne and his genuine love.
I went back weakly and went up to the room Mashukhat showed me, which was the next to his mum's.
I fell down on the bed and sobbed in my pillow. After crying my eyes out, i went up and prayed zuhr prayer.
I was reading Qur'an when mum barged in.
"Its time to cook dinner, so get up and straight to the kitchen"
She said, fuming in rage.
I mentally shook my head and dropped my Quran and followed behind her down to the kitchen.
She told me what to cook and i immediately set to work while she watched me from a chair on the kitchen island.
I made fruits salad, vegetable salad, and fried rice with chicken. I also made zobo juice and banana smoothie.
By the time i finished making dinner, i was tired as hell.
I set the table with the help of Saleena and went up to take my shower.
