The loud cheers errupted from the campus of Maple University. The soft and cold weather slowly approaching, and the sound of christmas carols playing from the speakers of the malls and streets. It was their winter break.

The group sat down in the apartment of Mingyu and Minghao, where Wonwoo can still clearly remember at the small moment of realization of feelings he had for Mingyu. They sat in the living room, occupying the sofa.

"So any plans for winter break?" Soonyoung asked the group.

Mingyu stayed in the kitchen, cooking food for them but still listening into the conversation that they were having.

"Mingyu and I are staying this year. We plan to go on trips together." Minghao said

Wonwoo listened intently, he payed no attention to the book he held as he still had not flipped the next page from listening to Minghao.

Just the two of them? Wonwoo thought and bit his lip. Jealousy again. Is Minghao this dude that Mingyu talked about? Is Minghao the mystery man that Mingyu liked?

"Wonwoo."

He snapped out of his thoughts and looked up from his book. The spectacles that were fixated on his nose, moving slightly from the sudden jolt.

"What are your plans for the break?" Seokmin asked.

He shrugged. "I'm spending the whole break back at my parents'."

Mingyu listened carefully. His head peaked out of the kitchen as he moved to the group, giving out bowls of ramen, kimchi, and rice. He approached Wonwoo, handing him out his food too.

"When will you be coming back though?" he blurted out to Wonwoo, as he sat down beside Minghao, cheeks tinting in pink.

Wonwoo looked towards Mingyu and shrugged. "I don't know, maybe a few days before school starts again." he calmly said. His heart beating fasf, noticing his crimson cheeks. The more Wonwoo knew about his feelings, he had grown more attached and had really taken notice on the little cute things Mingyu does.

The boys could feel the awkward tension around them, especially the friends who silently cooed at the two in the background. Mingyu just smiled back again at Wonwoo then went to talking with Minghao.

Wonwoo watched, he didn't catch the saddened look Mingyu had when he said that he was going to leave. What more when Wonwoo would stick with the fact that Minghao could be Mingyu's possible crush? He needed time off. So he wanted to go back home--- to his family. Wonwoo placed the book aside, chatting with Jihoon who sat beside him and contently munching on the food Mingyu had cooked--- which tasted delicious.

Jihoon noticed his uncomfortable state, sitting across from Mingyu. His eyes averting back and fourth from Mingyu to Wonwoo. He looked at Wonwoo, and unreadable expression on his face.

"Hey, about Mingyu. . . "

Wonwoo looked up to Jihoon, raising an eyebrow. "Ah, I just. . ." he sighed. "I just need more time, to--- sort out my feelings. Some time off, with the family." Wonwoo whispered back.

Jihoon had a look of worry but nodded. He trusted to Wonwoo that if he is comfortable with that decision of his, he wouldn't want to push it.

Mingyu and Minghao insisted in doing the dishes and fixing up the place as the other guys continued on chatting. The stayed at the kitchen cleaning up the dishes. Mingyu's eye kept on twitching and Minghao was worried.

"Minghao help, please blow my eye." Mingyu sheepishly said, and Minghao chuckled.

Wonwoo was passing by, going to return one of the cups, he saw Mingyu and Minghao alone. He stopped in his tracks and watched, something maybe he mistook from the position on where he stayed. Minghao going slowly to Mingyu and holding the sides of his face to keep him still. It had looked like they were about to kiss, and Wonwoo didn't like that. So he had immediately left, not wanting to see the aftermath of it, leaving the cup, silently on the island.

"There we go." Minghao smiled, watching as Mingyu's eye stopped twitching.

"Thanks."

Soon, they finished up with the dishes, Mingyu noticed Wonwoo avoiding eye contact from him--- like he was ignoring them. Even until they were leaving, Wonwoo just had one last glance.

"Ah, Wonwoo hyung, have fun in your break!" Mingyu smiled and looked at Wonwoo.

The corners of Wonwoo's lips, tugging up slightly as he formed a smile. Mingyu's smile was too contagious for him, he loved how his smile was so beautiful. Loved. Love. What a word he used to describe.

He smiled softly. "You too." he nodded and continued on walking with Jun and the rest.
